For no other reason than to moan about a loss or brag about a win….
Last night was let down by 1.2 shot (Videoton, which was only put in for acca insurance) on a speculative 25-1 coupon for £400.
On a brighter note just backed and laid the wrong horse at 8-1 for £40… didnt notice until my balance updated by £300 (could have been a disaster if the one I actually wanted to had won).

A few …. quickly laid a place of a horse for £50 @ 1.76 on smarkets but didnt realise there was already £10 in the box…. so laid it for £1050… horse hit last fence almost fell but stayed on feet and got 3rd… lost about £780. Only realised 30mins after the race cos smarkets had crashed .
Last Sat backed magical memory £100 @ 10/3… price on exchange drifted slightly so set a lay of 4.3… forgot about it in work and remembered… checked result it had won and lay hadnt been matched
Also had a few horses in a bad ew race… had £200 on fav @ 1.74 as commission saver… completely forgot about the bet… only realised 1 day later and it had won+0File under expensive mistakes….
Not realiseing you have a large FB selected when you are placing a big bet on an odds on shot.
Lose the FB…. lose at the exchange…. lose the bonus you would have collected.
+0Won over 500 quid from Super Monopoly Money, and did it at a time I didn’t know you could “cash out”, which would’ve been for way less than the 500 I won.. Had I known about the cash out I might not have gambled it.
Was all from a no risk fiver I think, and I had it on the first or second round, from memory.

Had a lucky win tonight, went for an arb on a Swedish race (Patricia Zaz) – £50 @ 9/2.. After I placed the bet it suspended on the exchange so couldn’t lay, luckily it won!!

Had a lucky win there.
Got £50 on Desert Encounter at 6.0 at Freds this morning because I actually thought, for once it was a decent boost (usually I think they are absolute garbage and avoid like the plague). Watched as it drifted all afternoon and said fuck it, let it run. Just won for what i thought was £250 profit but turns out Freds now pay BoG on their boosts (never used to) so I’ve been paid out at 7.5 for £325 profit.
That will do me for today although I have Anythingtoday in the 3.25 for Betfair ew edge as the arb was huge.

Crazy how that market went. Obviously I’m ecstatic with the profit but how a horse that fancied in the early markets and with the best form, went from 3/1 to 15/2 is beyond me. Makes a mockery of Freds boosts as usual too, glad they got hit hard here.

I think Freds boosts are usually quite good. Have 5 shops close by me so £100 stakes and i’m usually looking at risk free £150+ which I think is worth it.
+0Lost a 6 game 30-1 for £15 acca in the 89th minute (Clyde v Cowdenbeath) yesterday just as I was signing in to try and lay the final leg, it must have kicked off late as all other matches were finished. Missed by seconds.
On the plus side just hit a nice win going for extra place in the last at Plumton.
Opening show was 15 laying at 12 so stuck 30ew quickly before realising I didn’t have enough in exchange to cover it so had to gamble half…went off at 8-1 and won in a canter.

I’m using Betfair via the oddsmonkey promo, so the excuse is that I haven’t used Betfair for a while. Backed Valencia to win tonight for a casino promo for a 100% deposit match, £40 free to use on games and I used my deposit to back Valencia, I thought I had laid the bet with Betfair, only realized with 5 minutes to go that in fact I had backed on Betfair. I noticed that Valencia were 3.2 up on the william hill site and checked Betfair, realized the mistake and cashed out with Betfair and the casino site. Made £118, could have left it to run and it would have been £157 profit, but it only needed a goal from Real Sociedad and I would have been £78 down!
