New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

not too bad, about £1100 up. my target each month is £500 so anything above that I see as a bonus. I didn’t do any black Friday stuff and haven’t signed up to sunbets yet cos basically i’m too lazy, so probably could’ve made more. Matched betting is obviously dead! lol
+0How did you achieve that figure Desthstar.
Is that multi -accounting wifh Sky bet+0I go 25th to 25th (payday)
So my figures are skewed
+0@jdrobbo nah its mostly from extra places and E/W arbs. I don’t multi-account, just use the gubbed accounts for the arbs and my “fresh” accounts for bonus hunting. I have got a couple of “other” accounts but I’m trying not to use them as much as I did with my ones. I think I lost a lot of accounts when I first started because I was so obvious and hit every single offer they had until they banned me. now I just try and do Saturday racing and footie and a bit of champs league.
+0£1195 plus whatever I get today. I have ‘other’ accounts as I have 2 internet connections into the house. I don’t use mobile betting and I haven’t attempted each way arbing or extra places as yet due to time restraints. I am starting to lose a lot of my accounts now though as I tend to try and hit most offers. But I know this is not a long term game and am in it for some quick profits.
+0Around 1400 up. Would be higher but took 2 weeks off in the middle of the month to gather my thoughts. Am clear now into what I want and need to do to keep going and am clear till 9th Jan next year with my targets. As long as I’m ahead of the game then I will continue to do this.
+0Interesting I made a similar figure to the two lads above. Interesting because it looks like we all have very separate strategies.
1. me – acca insurance offers, price boosts.
2. deathstar – e/w arbs, extra places.
3. clive – multi accounting the regular promos. So by our powers combined you’re looking at a possible figure of £3000 per month by combining all strategies (no rocket science). Time and effort is all that is required.

that’s a very good point fog, I haven’t even done an Acca yet. Out of interest, what sort of bankroll do you use? I’m guessing you put a good few Accas on a week?
+0+£1370 this month, thus far, predominantly from regular promos, casino offers and enhanced odds offers. No acca insurance or E/W arbs, and no multi-accounting at all.
+0Mostly at the weekends I get a few on. On Saturday and Sunday I will always have 4 on sportingbet (4×25=100) and one on betmclean (50) each of the days, so that’s a total £300 investment to start. And usually the same midweek if anything is going on. Also throughout the week a few on betvictor (but that’s only a tenner here or there) and stanjames (but that’s usually limited to only once per week).
For me its all about getting as much cash on as possible and I assume a 10 to 20% return. So for example if I can get £500 worth of accas and boosts on at the weekend then that’s probably £100 average profit long term. Repeat for midweek, and repeat for 4 or 5 weeks in a month.
Not sure I’ll be able to get much on midweek now with champions league group stages coming to an end – that was a great source of short odds favourites. So that will probably slice my profits in two.
I’ve gone a bit renegade, deserted the matched betting principals a little.
I have a bankroll of about £1000 which isn’t enough for what I am doing – strictly would need a lot more to be able to lay the acca’s. I have made enough over the last year to be able to put £1000 aside as a “punt fund”. I use it to back unlayed value accas and value price boosts. It hasn’t been depleted yet – even had a run of 13 acca’s bust in a row. And an equally unlucky run on the price boosts at the same time. Which I won’t lie, that period was a little stressful. But it’s been about 3 months and each month I have ended in profit in the end- but some months a lot more than others. This month was a good month and I hit over £1000 but others have been less profitable (£1000 every month would be a bit unrealistic, actually I take the same attitude as you I figure about £500 I would be happy with and anything else is a bonus). I have about tripled my initial fund in those three months. At the moment I am withdrawing all profits as I go along, moved house recently enough and ended up with a few extra loans (cars/furniture) that I might have over extended a little. So ploughing money against them till they are cleared. But the plan is to then build up my exchange again and then get into the e/w arbing game.
It’s nice. I have a lot more freedom now because I am mostly gubbed and don’t do horse offers. It takes a little time on Friday and Saturday evening/night to pick out the matches at my leisure. Can leave it till the kids are in bed or whenever. And the same midweek if anything is going on. A lot less time consuming which I needed because I was deep into the horse racing 7 days a week before – trying to back horses just before the off on mobile at work and entire Saturday afternoons disappeared for months. It’s a bit like semi retirement. I’m more relaxed.
So that’s my life story. Sorry!
+0For help with ew arbing follow @thebookieangel on twitter…. they have 3 from 3 strike rate and tipped Aislabie early this morn @ 13.0 ew in 1.30 Catterick!
Now 7.0 for the win and 2.2 for the place!!+0Cheers fog. I was wondering more about the liability you need but I guess that depends whether you have certain teams in certain matches. I only ask because when doing the horses I tend to have all my exchange balance tied up a few times a day so if I did do any accas i’d have to set some aside to cover them.
I know what you mean about the racing, I find the way I do things its absolutely full on for 6 hours on a Saturday and then an hour or so any other day. But I find hitting the extra place makes up for that! But then there’s always the 150/1 shot that comes fifth and screws things up (although its always nice if you do manage to get on it)
It sounds like most of the old timers on here have found a niche they are comfortable with after losing a few bookies and are sticking to what they know.
+0Yeh sounds like everyone is finding many avenues to explore still. Personally I’ve focused on horse arbs and extra places which I’ve been extremely lucky with this month…plus also got into the accas 5 weeks ago and made a fair amount on those. Month profit currently a tad over 2500 but like I say I think some of that is down to extra place races luck and a mess up which went in my favor! Still my best month so far with many major sites being out of action to me!!
+0Yes deathstar. I understood what you were asking but went into a long explanation to explain that I don’t lay – so I have zero liability on the exchange. Obviously to do it safe and risk free there would be some laying involved and some float required. Not sure exactly how much though, sorry.
+0No worries fog, I didn’t mean to hijack the thread and give you the third degree anyway. lol
