Paddy Power credited my £25 free bet twice
-
Hi,
This is regarding the one touch (mb as fb is looses) paddy power promotion.
– Bet lost 23rd may evening.
– was not credited within 24hrs (yesterday)
– Live chat added it manually after I provided a screenshot of the promotion
– Used that today
– Now been credited:
SB MBS One Touch Tennis FB none Any Tennis Market £25.00Should I matched bet this? or should it be a punt in view of the risk of them voiding it if it wins whilst matched betting?
Thanks for any advice.
p.s. I searched this up on the forum beforehand, and couldn’t find anything with an answer.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I am pretty sure that they won’t void it. They have given free bets to me by mistake over the months usually only an extra €2 for the top scorer thing though but still never had a problem using them or having them voided.
Its no harm to punt the bet either – you have already extracted profit from the offer so its a genuine free bet (no qualifying loss).
+0The problem is, every time I go to punt a £25 free bet, it’s effectively gambling £20.
Thanks for your advice. Are they within there rights to cancel the bet in this instance?+0It used to be a fairly regular occurence that a freebet would not be credited on time and a call to live chat would result in them manually adding it to the account, and often the case the freebet would then be added automatically aswell.
Obviously the freebet software has got a lot better and ususally works well. It was probably cost effective for live chat to just credit a freebet after a couple of questions rather than spend ages looking into it.What has also changed is that I believe a lot of the queries to live chat ate coming from match betters and lice chat have been told not to add the freebet without thorough investigation.
For what it is worth I think contacting live chat is one of the ways you got your account gubbed.
I know about 18 months ago I kept having problems with one bookie over not getting the freebets automatically, snd aftet receiving 2 goodwill freebets added manually I was tild next time that my account didnt qualify for any further goodwill credits, although I could show the freebet was due.+0That’s very interesting Patrick.
I did not want to contact live chat in the first place, I did think about this.
She did escalate it, even after the screenshot was provided.I would very much like to keep PaddyPower ungubbed as along with their consistent offers, they have always been my favourite bookie.
They have never had to add a free bet manually to my account either, I think from now on i’ll not use live chat. Tempted also to avoid using any offer post CL final up until the Euros to stay under the radar.
In fact, does keeping the account dormant help to stay low on the radar at all?
+0Just a point shep.
In my opinion it is not gambling £20.
You will get the same long term value punting your free bet than matching it. Obviously don’t shout about it too loud on a matched betting forum.
Bet £25FB @4/1 you win £100 sometimes and win nothing sometimes. If you win once in 5 (basically what 4/1 means) then on average you extract £20 from your £25 free bet. This works out same value as matching and one theory is that it is better value as you dodge the exchanges completely and their commission.
The safe and steady approach is always to match. But if you’re in a situation like you are then in my opinion it’s just as good to punt – over time.
+0Why shouldn’t you use live chat about any problems you have? I’ve used them quite a bit about wagering with casino offers and also free bets not being credited. If I’m not satisfied with the answer I’ll send them an follow up email and complain even more, usually don’t get anywhere. A lot of these smaller bookies websites are crap and you can quite easily blast them with poor quality spam SENuke links and porn links to destroy their Google ranking if they really piss me off!
+0Fog, I took your point and punted on a 4-fold accumulator. (c£215 return).
Farang, I have to say I agree with Patrick, by going on live chat you physically get someone actually viewing your account details and betting history, that can only be bad imo.
+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
I worked out with the tennis free bets this week, over two accounts I’ve lost £2.50 more than I’ve won with Betfred. Although I did speak to live chat yesterday and my free bet has not been credited today! I’ll leave it I think…
+0The agents on live chat are not well trained, they barely know the details of their own offers. I doubt that they have been trained to spot matched bettors, or that they would even recognise the patterns. If they spot anything unusual on the account I doubt that they would care enough to report it – or if they did then I doubt the traders would care too much for their opinion any way.
I understand the point but if I need to contact live chat I won’t avoid it at my own cost.
There are better ways to identify matched bettors – any decent Business Analyst could pull a report in 10 seconds with a list of matched bettors rather than training live chat agents to manually check betting histories one by one.
Good luck Shep with the acca by the way!
+0Speaking of which… Did anyone else get two fivers refunded from Hills the other week for the casino risk free spins promo?
+0Fog, I can’t argue with what your saying tbh, good point, half the time what they’re saying doesn’t make sense.
I hope the acca wins, aha. I’m normally good with the Tennis punts, I play and coach it so shouldn’t be too far off.+0Got some tips for todays tennis matches @F.Shep42 ?
I think I got the refund, punted on a horse and lost lol
I did work for Coral for 3 weeks in a call centre in 2014, the staff were not very well trained. The dpa was name, address and d.o.b., maybe check if the email address was used twice, didn’t see anything on their system for ip address.
+0Farang, I don’t know how many i’ll get correct but ill go for ones that are worth doing (odds wise)
– I’d say Mahut (who is 3.25) should take at least a set of Granollers. He’ll have the support from the crowd (they love him) and Granollers played a doubles and a singles yesterday, so could be tired.
-Carreno-Busto should come back from the set down to beat bedene (who is v hot and cold)
– Garcia Lopez to win a set against Thiem (who is 1.2 fav)
– Almagro to beat Vesely 3-1.
If all of these are wrong i’ll look like a muppet, lol, but you asked for tips.
+0Shep. Last person that gave a shit tip on the forum was verbally attacked and chased off. Never seen again! So you better hope that they all come in!
+0lol, too late now. For the record, i could have gone with the obvious, but i did not.
