Quiet period?

  • Just wondering if everyone else is feeling it? In the past month or two it feels like things have really wound down. Considering how much horse racing and football has been on, seems odd.

    Examples of the downturn:
888 cutting most of their offers
Skybet reducing their moneyback on horses to £20
Betfred haven’t done a full meeting in a long time
Bet365 risk free inplay – havent seen one in a while (but I’m gubbed)
Betfred’s January Sales deal was atrocious – nothing to be had at all
Haven’t seen an offer on a bookmaker such as 32red in months
Matt’s blog is basically only refund triggers at the moment, and place offers. These were the least lucrative offers from the average MBer’s perspective.
I signed up with OddsMonkey and their deals were proper scraps! A lot of their deals were just scraps at best and not even worth doing

I am of course gubbed from most places, so I can’t really say if everyone feels this way..

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

£8 loss on the win, couldnt resist the underlay on the place which I got at 2.8 so £36 profit if it places, £8 loss if it doesnt

I noticed that both the 3rd and 4th faves in that race drifted to 50.0 and 55.0 respectively on the exchange. Yet went off at 14/1 and 16/1 industry SP.
Get gubbed for regularly beating SP, yet it’s pretty difficult not to when the overround is so big.

Yep its quite common MbPunter, I count myself lucky to have layed the win at 38 :S

However, a £20 underlay on the other horse would have yielded a nice profit even with that kind of loss on the win. I quite regularly and quite happily take losses on the win part but yeah that was a big-ish one.

Coral are paying 1/4 odds on places tonight at Chelmsford. Some potentially good ones in there, 7pm for example.

I’ve just started on EW arbing – made £2 on the 14:20 earlier today. Hopefully make something slightly more impressive tomorrow!

Would I be right in thinking that the 13:50 and 15:50 at Huntingdon are the best races for tomorrow (along with, perhaps, Wolverhampton 18:45)?

13:50 should have opportunities. But the 15:50 isn’t a handicap race so despite 16 runners it will only be 3 places.

They arent ideal races to be honest, big fields probabaly wont be much exchange activity outside the top two.

TBH the one I would look at is the 1:40 at Sedgefield tomorrow if 5 run.

Am worried though with the weather some could be called off tomorrow.
