Racebets Restrictions

  • Hi all,

I have recently signed up to Racebets in order to profit from the bonus. However within about 3 hrs my account balance was at £169, and i could not place bets. Later, got an email saying:

We regret to inform you that our Trading Department has limited fixed odds bets on your RaceBets account.
You can still take full advantage of SP bets from race tracks all over the world including the UK and Ireland.

There still stands £169 in the account. What’s the best way to go about this, apart from the obvious – place bets as close to start time as possible to minimise time for change of price.

    Thanks in Advance for help.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Firstly, how were you doing in terms of the rollover requirements?

    I’ve rolled 93/250.

However, would rather end up with the money on Smarkets to avoid the lengthier time of withdrawal from Racebets, as my float is not that big.

Yes getting your money into smarkets is the way to go but obviously there are no guarantees and you could end up winning a bet on racebets even if you back a donkey

The amount you have available to you via Smarkets will determine how much you can afford to bet per race (think worst case scenario) but if you can get close enough back/lay odds then you should hopefully still be able to make a profit with the bonus.

Racebets offer BOG so the fact you can only pick SP shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Might be worth checking to see if you have any stake restrictions too though.

Yeh i see, i have c.£300 in Smarkets, so that should do, ill split it up to diversify. I don’t want it all on Racebets, however, need be, i can get a loan from a supporting friend for a % of the profit. Thanks for your help. As far as I can see, there are no restrictions. Do i have to contact them for this information usually?

No, you’d know if you placed a bet above your limit and it declined – just something to keep an eye on.

Definitely split your bets up just in case – just use Matts calculator and try and get v small qual losses or you’ll soon eat away at the bonus

Shep, did you use the same computer for smarkets and the bookie? I noticed they use iesnare but I’m trying to work out if I were to use one of the kids tablets only for that bookie if they’d pick up what I’m up to.

    Hi,

well, i used Smarkets and Racebets on the same computer, however the identity on Smarkets is different to the one on Racebets – so that could affect it. I started using my Iphone, but then it got too annoying. Probably would have been fine if i had had fixed odds. What is Iesnare?

For the record, does anyone think bookies track this websites?

Sammy, be careful if you think BOG applies if your restricted to SP. you could back a horse at say 8/8.2. The horse could then get backed in to 4 and you’d have lost a good bit of money. For example with a £50 back and lay you’d lose over £200 if the horse wins.

Thanks Pickle, I didn’t realise that if you’re restricted to SP then it doesn’t apply – though now you’ve said it that makes perfect sense.

I’ve never been restricted to just SP, bookies like to just totally gub me when I get on their nerves!
