Recent Gubbing Sprees?

  • I’ve been matched betting for roughly 5-6 months and hadn’t had a single gubbing until the week before last. Then Betway, Boyle Sports and Genting have all gubbed my accounts in about one week period. Has anybody else had anything similar happen to them recently? As far as I’m aware these bookmakers aren’t related either so are they maybe sharing information?

    Thanks

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

They’re not related, Betway gub literally everybody after you do a few offers, I don’t know why they bother advertising bonuses because you can’t really use them for long.

Boylesports gub accounts which take their boosts more often than they like, in recent weeks they’ve had some really strong horse racing boosts which has likely tipped a few accounts over their acceptable limit, it’s all automatic, there’s no traders looking at your account it even says our automatic risk controls rejected this bet, so it kicks in when a customer takes too much value, a matched bettor won’t keep Boylesports for long.

Genting was a bit out of the blue and the only one which surprised me, it seems to have affected alot of people so this was likely a conscious decision to wipe out everyone who had been taking over a certain % of value, maybe their sports book profits were a touch low and that was their reaction to tighten up, I believe they gubbed everyone who did their weekly lightning roulette offer and who took advantage of their horse racing refunds whenever they popped up.

All 3 are purely coincidental, though, I also lost Unibet this week, butnit was my fault for hammering their offers for almost a year taking maximum value….

Coral and skybet gubbed me in the last week. But cant complain. Betway, Betbright were both quick to dish out restrictions.

I suspect it’s coincidental, if you want to know more submit a gdpr request and they may disclose all the information they hold… but don’t hold your breath.

betway gubbed me within a handful of bets, boyles a bit stingy and genting gave me a fair run
boyles isn’t automatic though. U hit a certain grading on your account then they won’t allow you anything on boosts, but a trader sets that.

I’m hoping it’s just coincidental but it was just weird how they all happened at the same time after not having any at all.

I’ll admit that I had used a lot of Betway and Genting offers but had barely done anything wrong with Boyle Sports :/

Everyone has slightly different experiences with gubbing, but I agree with others that this is probably just coincidence.

I managed to make Betway last 5 months, doing nothing but offers, a minor miracle based on experiences of others. Boyles only lasted a few weeks.

The inevitability of gubbings means that you might see a few in close succesion. I lost coral and ladbrokes on the same day a couple of weeks ago (not a coincidence) then betfred a few days later. All had lasted more than a year, but I would still put this down to coincidental timing.

Starting to run out of decent accounts now though. Bet365 keeping the dream alive, otherwise just skybet and unibet left for me.

A lot of firms will share the same risk management team inc most of the smaller books. You can get gubbed before even placing a bet with some. Those that think otherwise are naive
