Anyone know anything about basketball?
According to flashscores it looks like this bet is a good one. If the first two win the last game can be laid as its 4 hours later plus the odds are so short on that game
Im think of gambling on this one
What do people think of the bet?Oklahamo, Houston & Totonto to win (4.0)

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Not that I’m a big basketball fan, but from the odds, the last one (Oklahoma) is pretty much certain and there’s almost no point laying just that game.
The odds of 4.0 are pretty generous and certainly represents a +EV.
So I’ve stuck 25 quid on and will check on it in the morning+0Ok put £20 on. Will be a nice end to the week if this comes in
+0Well it aint going so well so far!
What a crap 2nd quarter from the rockets+0Ended up laying all legs in play and got a £26.50 profit at the end.
What a shocking last game, talk about an upset!+0Some of these offers / American sports bets on trebles etc etc are basically developing into a gamble on the events – goes against the thread of matched getting. Not for me – will stick to the basics in Uk/ Europe.
+0I think it depends if you are awake through night or not. The one last night was earlier than usual so i didnt lay the first but then layed the second and third legs before i turned in for a small guaranteed profit. On the other hand i didnt lay Real Madrid on two footy accas which turned out to be a bloody bad gamble.
+0Roly’s point is people are gambling Pickle ….like you did …and lost! This is not matched betting, it’s mugging. Laying off each leg is fair enough and well done to Ice for doing so.
He was at least punting and minimising the potential loss.+0If you’re not going to lay them off – ie matched betting yould be as well doing a treble on the horses!!! That’s a different ballgame and another forum!!!!
+0Ice couldnt have laid off each leg and made what he said he made.
+0Patrick?
What makes you think that?I laid Rockets for £21.05 at 1.66- liability of £13.89
I laid Raptors for £35.67 at 1.18- liability of £6.42
I laid Thunder for £42.43 at 1.09- liability of £3.82So that game me a loss of £20 + £13.89 + £6.42 – £40.31 = £0
And in play I laid Thunder for £28 at 1.55 – liability of £15.40
£28 less 5% commission = £26.60 profitSo I guess you were right, I was 10p out in my post above
+0Only Ice knows what he did – but bottom line is the bookies put up these trebles and accas to attract mug punters not matched bettors!!!
+0I agree this was a gamble…………but if I’m making £500 a month then I don’t see a £20 gamble here and there as a problem
Also I knew I could lay for a profit if the first game won. I could have done better had I not got scared after the second quarter and laid at bad odds
+0Your right El Chico. In my defence though ive been doing as has been suggested on here and picking 6 short odds teams on acca insurance. 5 teams had already won so i at least had 2 x free bets so i let Madrid run. Had it been a normal acca i would definitely laid it pre game. Re the basketball the offer was @ 4.0 and the 3 combined odds without a offer on the site i looked at was 3.01 so it was definitely available to the matched better.
+0As you say Ice magic you laid inplay which is mugbetting not matched betting.
No problem with someone having mug bet but dont dress it up as matched betting.
A newbie reading this thread would think it was possible to make over £25 risk free for an outlay of £20.We would all have a piece of that.
+0Well the thing is, all my inplay lays were at worse odds than I could have had at the start of each game, so there was definitely profit available here
