sky bet price boost
-
just a bit of advice needed.
i backed the price boost at 6.5 (£37.50) stake
the lay odds were 6.2 on betfair
i still carried out the normal underlay procedure, stake /0.95
i think i have lost a few quid, does that sound right?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Back Sky £37.5@6.5 returns = £243.75 – £37.5 = £206.25
Lay £37.50/.95 = £39.47 @6.2 liability = £205.24
Profit = £1.01.
There wasn’t really much in this to be honest.
+0Great….. Not worth doing at all. Is this because I didn’t get on in time for the 6.0 on bet fair? I can still put it down to 6.0 and hope someone matches it can’t I?
+0It’s a bit worrying that you did the bet without actually knowing what your profit returns where likely to be….use this calculator next time https://www.trickybet.net/lay-calculator.
You can put it down to 6.0 but if it never matches then that’s a risk your playing. Did you do that this time? as if it didn’t match you actually would be up over £200 due to your back bet winning and not losing anything at the exchange as your lay bet didn’t match.
+0You got £37.50 on it??? Wow 🙂
Ironic that the one week I leave it, it comes in (in injury time!)
