SOS: Smarkets in empty and can't make rollover requirements.

  • Hello forum, I was hoping I could get some advice.

I’ve been trying to get my money out of Bet 365 but I can’t meet the rollover of £1200. I’ve been matching small bets at unlikely odds and had the worst luck for the last couple of days. The money keeps ending up in my 365 account and now my smarkets account is empty and I don’t have much in my float.

What’s my move here? Do I try and make the rollover requirements with my £500 tied up in bet 365. My Smarkets is empty and i’ve pretty much exhausted my float.

First time going to a bonus and I got greedy and unlucky.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

how much longer do you have to complete wagering requirements? I think B365 allow 90 days?

Hey, if it’s 90 days then I’d have the better part of 80 left but I can’t have all that money tied up.

I used the last of my Smarkets money on a lay against a horse race on the 5th ranked horse with odds around 10 and he won.

No, it was a bet against him and I won the money in my Bet365 account. Now my Smarkets has £3.

Same happened to me. Ended up with about a grand in 365 that I couldn’t afford to leave there. Had to write off the £200 bonus and just withdraw the £800. Lost about a tenner all told. It was just poor planning on my part. If you’re going to do these big ones you need to work out the worst case scenario and then be absolutely sure you can live without that amount of money for a few weeks/months.

These things happen. You shouldn’t have gone for the offer unless you can cover the worst case scenario. That being said, if your desperate for cash you can withdrawl the money but your 200 bonus will be forfeited. Personally I would wait till pay day. Top up your exchange then then just do small bets £20/£30 to try get some money in your exchange

Thanks for the help. I’ve learned my lesson that hard way.

What kind of odds should I be looking for on these smaller bets?

    dyllanjj2,
could you loan the money for Smarkets from family or friends and perhaps agree to pay back in a few weeks with say a 5% bonus for them for helping you out at such short notice?

I made it back to £61.70 in my Smarkets account by backing and laying the horses today. It almost went back into my Bet365 on the last race of the day with a photo finish but I might be in the clear. I guess I could’ve borrowed the money from my girlfriend but I’ve only just convinced her that i’m not ‘gambling.’ Haha so it wasn’t an option.

You shouldn’t do it with such high odds now that you’re so high up in your bet365 account as it’s more likely that you’re going to meet the wagering requirement than lose your balance into smarkets.

Bet on football and horses with low odds (maybe around evens) -that way you won’t need as much money to cover the liability of your smarkets.

Related: if I deposited £200, and gained the £100 bonus, how much will i have to wager in total?
    Thanks!
