The Best Bookie you've Never Heard of

  • Either you haven’t heard of this site, or you have and have been keeping it for yourself.

Black Type Bet promise not to restrict accounts. and they’ve been going for a month or two now so seem reputable.

Not going to post links as I’ll get accused of being an affiliate wanker, and I don’t do that as my name’s not Matt.

I just want to see you lot batter this site to see how long they keep their promises.

    Thank me later.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The real question is, do they do alot of worthwhile offers?

Are they not like Pinnacle? There site claims:
    Winners Are Welcome
Unlike other bookmakers, we don’t restrict or ban successful players. Winners are welcome to keep betting with us.

But I don’t believe they have any offers.

Do you do a welcome offer?

We know that current UK punters would prefer to get a bet, and continue to get a bet rather than be given a welcome offer and then closed within a few bets. Therefore we will not be offering any welcome bonuses or free bets to new customers. That’s not to say we won’t reward loyal punters with free bets from time to time.

Do you do Best Odds Guaranteed?

No and here’s why. Our traders are trying to lay best prices to lower margins and it is therefore vital we know our liabilities at all times. We simply cannot run our business model if we don’t know what price we have laid a bet at! The upsides are you won’t have the concession removed within five bets, you will consistently be offered better prices and you will always be able to bet to win upwards of £500 on horse racing. We think this should appeal more to our regular punters!

Will you always be best price on every horse?

We are committed to offering the best value and lowest margins on horse racing. This does not mean we will always be best price on every horse but we will endeavour to be top price on the majority of runners at the front end of a race regularly throughout the day. Look for the Black Type on Oddschecker to see where we stand out!

    Do you do extra places?

As a rule we don’t aim to. Betting to lower margins makes this difficult for us but we hope you will find our win prices much more appealing.

They dont do a sign up offer, or any kind of promotion, nor do they do best odds guaranteed. The only value I can think of having an account with them would be for each way arbing.

It’s really not that hard to see why they’re worthwhile.

Fog you are right they are exactly like Pinnacle. Except it hasn’t been possible to have a Pinny account while being based in the UK for over a year now.

And Gman, why do you think arbs have to be E/W?

Yeah, read about this lot over on t’other place, but haven’t checked their site out yet.

Have you @Johnson (or others) ? If so, any decent arbs to be had or is it all bullshit and bluster?

I’ve looked at this a few times and their odds are generally a bit rubbish. Not saying it’s not worth a go, but you have to wonder why a site would be happy to offer that “guarantee” if they knew they were offering regular arb opportunities. At a quick glance just now, I couldn’t see one horse on any race that they are offering at a better price than any other bookie. Compare that to the likes of WH, Stan James, 888 etc who regularly offer better odds.

Some good odds and arbs just before the off on races….I made a tidy sum so far but I’m good

    …and so modest 😉

    FACTUAL examples please @matchedem ?

Plenty of opportunities right before the off…

e.g. Yesterday, Jim Dandy in the 15:30 at Plumpton was 2.20 / 2.00 for a couple of minutes. They’re willing to take a liability of £500 so you could bet over £400 on this (it didn’t win, btw).

A good bookie, I do a lot of proper punting and have a good circle that live off of betting and these have been a breath of fresh air to a lot of people, especially with horse racing because it’s hard to continually get big bets on.

Sorry to say though, but any bookie that promises never to restrict accounts, is either telling porkies or will eventually go out of business.

I’d advise anyone who is able to use their inside knowledge to gain an edge in punting, to pile in now with this crowd, because I doubt they will be around for long.

    I have to disagree.

Low margin sports trading is the future… think of all the sports proprietary trading firms on the exchanges which are profitable despite low margins. There’s no reason why you can’t use a similar model on your own platform (and even avoid paying commission). Traditional bookmakers are delaying the inevitable by banning all winning punters, and becoming more reliant on FOBTs.
