Wednesday (Day 2) – Chat/Tips/General Thread
-
New day, new thread and hopefully a change of fortunes!
Perseverance is the key, along with sticking to the game plan. At times on Tuesday I felt like abandoning the strategies and techniques that have served us all so well, but that would be daft. At times I definitely felt like I was reaching a bit too much – e.g. wasting time looking for odds that never appeared on Hills for the High 5 offer. Need to be more realistic, this is the best jumps meeting in the world. In the main it’s going to be competitive with few races won by the golden margin.
I plan to spend more time on e/w arbs tomorrow if time allows, totally neglected them today.
Looking forward to seeing Neon Wolf in the 13:30. That could be an indicator of how my day will go, just like Melon was on Tuesday (unfortunately!)
Good luck all!

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Erm guys I don’t get it. Where is the value on the 3.30? You may have to give me an example as from what I can see the exchange odds are so far off for the win and the place odds are close but no arbs.
What am I missing?+0Matchedem there’s several open before the day. Sky, paddy, grosvenor and that Betbright one.
Jay – laying £300 at short odds is no more capital consuming than £50 or £100 at much bigger odds. I did both yday.
There’s also not that many bookies doing 1/4 today on that race so watch where ur betting+0on the 330 there is even value at 1/5 odds FACT
FACTSONLY hope you aren’t trying to be me…im an one and only
+0But the win part is 22 on the exchange!
Are you suggesting that due to the high chance of a Douvan win we just don’t lay the win part of the bet?
In fact, that means if gods own did manage to win we’d win the bet and cash in big time. No place = arb. And place = arbI think Ive got it?
+0No that can’t be right. Sorry guys. Need to go back to school
+0But top gamble is 75 for the win part on the exchange!
+0Example Traffic Fluid 81/120 (don’t worry about the win loss).
Place is 17.0/7.0 or 21.0/7.0 if you can get on with 1/4 odds firm.
At 1/4 odds that’s guaranteed £30ish for just £20ew.
+0Ice, Plug the figures into Matts ew calculator https://matchedbettingblog.com/each-way-calculator/
Even with the bad win matching you come out with a profit – not sure where the £100 profits are coming from mentioned earlier but it is profit
+0Ok I just did that. I see now. However I can’t fund these lays as I don’t have the capital anymore. Oh well. Looks like easy money
+0Who’s everyone getting 1/4 with for the 3.30? Seeing 1/5 on most.
+0Bacardys boosted to 5.5 on WH
+0Can only see 4.5?
+0Are Hills boosting? I see 5.5/4.9 for Barcardys @ 1.30
+0Yep Hills boost.
