It is a nice race to have a free bet for – big open race. You will get extraction > 80%.

Even right now you can get 80%+ extraction on Shakopee but wait till close to the off and the odds will tighten up much much more. Aim for 100%.

Has anyone had five losing bets with 10bet yet and received their free bet?

Very very good day today, and only four tv races, wow

Would take a few losing days now to balance out results

Quick question for the seasoned MB’s out there. I did my first Channel 4/1 Offer today and the damned horse (Seventh Heaven) won. I now have a “risk free” bet available for the 13:55 at York tomorrow. How should I best use this bet? A) Put it on a straight win (with high odds) and lay with appropriately tight odds on Smarkets or B) Put it back into the mix and try to work through the 4/1 offers again tomorrow hoping for all of my picks to lose. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

It was a very good day indeed.
    Made some very good profit.

Unfortunately I had 3 winners with bet365 plus one horse placed and that dried all my bankroll at the exchange, and I can’t withdraw from bet365 because I have bonus funds at the moment.

Oh well, hopefully tomorrow I can move back some of the funds to the exchange.

    @milgo

Use the risk-free bet calculator and put £50 as a cashback.

@milgo did you overlay your qualifying bet on the 4/1 offer?

    @ Traider

I backed £50 @ 5 and layed £55.98 @5.2 to return £-35.14 if it won (which it did) and £4.86 if it didn’t win.

Thats a poor bet milgo. On smarkets at those odds you need to lay £51.02 which if it wins is a loss of £14.28. Your not gonna make any money doing it like that.

Nah pickle. He has just over layed for guaranteed profit. He is okay.

He’ll come out with his £4.86 profit after he extracts £40 which is 80% of the £50

Well thats OK if he can get it i suppose. Second race today he wouldnt have done but as you say the first tomorrow is wide open. I prefer to make it risk free if i can. That way you can usually have a better go at getting the winner in the next.

thanks @milgo. You need to use the risk free calculator for your next bet and just take exactly the same approach. Take your back odds and add 0.8 to it. If your next bet wins, just use the risk free calculator until you either hit a losing bet, or you run out of funds in the exchange (in which case just punt your risk free bet).

As I said it was my 1st go at the 4/1 offer and after doing much reading I opted for the guaranteed profit route due to the opinion that more picked horses would lose than win and hence provide a small but steady income. As ever it is always interesting to hear different opinions on what the “preferred” method is.

Yeah i probably jumped the gun a bit there tbh. Im not sure id go that high with your overlay though incase the worst happens. Backing a horse @ 5.0 you just need one horse to refuse to go in the stalls and thered likely be a rule 4 deduction. A experienced matched bettor would maybe know what to do but if someone isnt sure then theyre gonna be £35 out of pocket. Serious question, would you have known what to do in real time if a horse was withdrawn at the start?
