There’s been some talk of acca’s and acca spreadsheets and how to calculate lay stakes for them on here recently, it’s a topic that seems to come up quite often.

There are plenty of spreadsheets and online tools available now, but I though I’d make available one I designed some time ago. In essence, it doesn’t really do that much different to others I’ve seen, but it might offer a few more options/advantages:
    – it’s more succinct than others I’ve seen, you don’t need a separate sheet/set of calculations for acca’s with different numbers of legs
    – it offers a number of different strategies as options
    – you can use it to monitor up to a dozen running accas at a time
    – it’s got a simulation sheet so you can see what sort of variance you might encounter if you were to repeat the same (or similar) acca over and over (if you are not laying or you are adopting an approach which doesn’t guarantee profit).

You will need Excel on your machine and it includes macro’s so your settings will need to allow these to run. That said, all of the key staking calculations are done by formulas in the main sheet. Also, it was designed for a widescreen monitor so you may want to adjust the zoom or some of the column widths to see it better on a smaller screen.

As ever with these things, it’s offered with no warranty, express or implied, use at your own risk etc. (especially since it’s not idiot-proofed). There are some guide notes included, but some of it may need further explanation, so if anyone has questions just post them here and I’ll answer as soon as I can.

Thanks blue. I’ll have a check later.

Looking at the profits thread, our little community looks like it has taken a 6 figure sum from the bookies last year. This will help us have an even better 2017!

    Cheers for this Blue

how do you use the simulation?

Put in a practice acca, but without any results, then Calculate EV to generate a set of Potential Outcomes. Then just click the Genarate button in the Simulation sheet, it will use Potential Outcomes from the acca to create a set of simulated results. You can re-Generate as many times as you want. Use the Instances parameter to control the number of rows of results output. The cells at the top tell you what the max /min values are from all the results genetated, the end value of your bank etc.

Thanks for sharing Blue. That will come in handy.

For those of you that have downloaded this, I’ve since discovered a sod’s law bug. It has been fixed and the revised version is now available at the same link.

Hi Blue just got round to having a proper look at this how does the Non-Sequential Lay Calc Parameters work

You guys must be proper clever! I haven’t got a clue on how I would use this or where I would begin. Does it have a manual by any chance 😉

@foreleft The non-sequential feature allows you to a set a staking range (From / To) for each leg, and an incremental value (Unit). It will then test every combination of stakes between those parameters and output the values which give the highest probability of a positive return to the Outputs column. The idea was to calculate a set of stakes that could be used to lay up front – if you transfer the outputs into the Actual Lay Stake column and Calculate EV (*make sure it is set for Method 7) it will generate the list of Potential Outcomes for those stakes.

To be honest this feature was a bit experimental. I was trying to replicate all of the features of the Accumulator Generator software which was being discussed on here a fair bit at the time, but the lay up front bit was the part of it I couldn’t work out (turns out it’s really simple 🙂 ), so I came up with this. If you do experiment with it keep an eye on the number of combinations indicator in the blue cell below where you input the parameters – if this number is too large you will have a long wait for it to test all of the combinations!

    @J
Sorry, I know the Notes provided are probably not too helpful, particularly if you don’t already know about accas. If I get time I’ll put together an easier to read guide.

P.S. The link is up to Version 3 now – another glitch corrected.

Wow if you could do that, it would massively appreciated Blue! Thank you

    Cheers Blue much appreciated

If I do equal profit but decide not to lay a legs 2 & 3 is there a way for it to work out the revised lay amounts

    foreleft 2

lol Ignore that about revised lay amounts

Hi Blue been using your sheet its superb
I’ve come across a glitch I cant work out, For some reason the sort selections is now coming up with an error has this happened to you?

    Thanks

Hi foreleft, glad you like it.

I’ve corrected for a few glitches since I first posted it, though I can’t recall anything amiss with the sort button. I’m up to version 4 with it at the moment, this is available via the original link at the top of this thread. If you have an earlier version it might be worth downloading the newer version, it might just solve the problem. Plus this version has new features!

But if the problem persists if you can give a bit more detail I’ll have a look.
