Advanced Arbing

  • Hi all,

Thanks to Beesty’s recent post I have decided that you all deserve to know about a new theory. Although not truly new, it has never been posted about on this forum before.

Beesty suggested a method that is close to Advanced Arbing (AA) , although not quite at the same level.

AA needs a medium-level bankroll (around £300 to start with), and is also fairly time intensive (you will probably need to spend around 6-7 hours per day with AA when you start out, due to its complicated nature and the focus needed).

I will post more about this if people are interested, but I don’t see the point in posting everything in one go as it is quite a lot of information, and it would take time and effort on my part to explain simply, so I will only make the effort if people are interested.

Alternatively, there is already quite a bit of information out there if you don’t want to listen to me. Search for AA on twitter, or using google scholar, as it’s origins were in academic papers, produced by mathematicians to eliminate problems with financial markets.

Some of the benefits of AA v matched betting/traditional arbing?

    – AA can raise much more profits, perhaps 10% more than a straight arb.

    – Through underlaying, it is possible to use AA as a way to make it look like you are a mug bettor, i.e. you can use AA to make many (small profits) bets at no cost, which will extend the life of your accounts.

    Let me know if interested,
    Cya!

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Johnson,

Some of these guys are hanging up their coats at the first sign of trouble (lack of matched betting ?).

Some of the guys are moving forward and working out how to make money without being spoon fed by Matt and that is quality.

Whats my point? I don’t know. Why have I posted? I don’t know. Just enjoying a few beers and knew you knew your onions.

    Bring it on fella ??

Ps. Making more each month now the matched betting pennies have stopped. Change, adapt and evolve.

    Hi Johnson,
this sounds very interesting and I would certainly like to read more of what you know about this subject. This site has been very quiet lately, but with beesty making his recent post and now you with this one, maybe things will liven up around here a little.

Did Mark touch on this a little, or at least just some examples

Multiple up price boosts and looking at discrepancy in spreads in certain sports

I not looked at it much, need to get into arbing sometime, once better understanding of arbs that will become available due to patterns and all that, odds searchers are only good enough to an extent, need to be a step ahead

I’m interested, I read his post and found it interesting – but would be nice for some examples and something to really understand it fully

Hi Johnson done a bit of reading myself but not sure if I’m in on the right lines. Was going down a route of parlays could and probably be totally wrong.

I am really interested in the theory and in sure everyone would be interested even if it’s confusing.

yes interested, I have spent hours trying to find an easy way to compare odds of bookies against smarkets in one place, to try to spot a lower lay bet, even small amounts add up… any ideas… Oddschecker etc doesn’t seem to compare againsts smarkets only betfair… getting frustrated, match betting free bets drying up

janeq, mbassist.co.uk is a good odds matching tool to use (redirects to a free service from OddsMonkey which can’t be accessed directly for some reason) – you’ll need to create a free account, and there’s a 30 min delay but that isn’t usually an issue. Let’s you compare most, if not all, bookies with both Betfair and Smarkets 🙂

I suspect Johnston is taking the mic!!! I searched for AA on the web and all i found was a nearby Alcoholic Anonymous meetings.. i attended one and although didnt make any money match betting i have cut down my alcohol intake!!
Anyway back to theories… betfred only let me have £50 on gurkher @ 2.25 price push…. lay 2.0…. so i put it in a double with their other price push brando 4.0 from 3.5 lay 3.8…. £50….. anyway long story short layed brando for my £50 stake and it won…. meant i had £200 extra now on gurker @2.25….. lay was now 1.89!!! Meant i could lay £230 to only owe £200 if won… was getting £250 or if lost still £30 up minus 2%
