Any bookmakers to avoid?

Just wondering if there’s any bookmakers to avoid. Before I looked at this page I hadn’t heard of quite afew of them so are they that safe? Superlenny? Bet bright? Any of the others.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Ah. I wouldn’t avoid betbright. I made decent money off them.
Most bookies are okay. Just be careful I suppose with offers that are too good to be true.
It’s rare – but there’s been stories about bookies offering great promotions and then getting themselves in trouble and trying to get out of paying. For example 138,10bet, fun88 and TLC Bet after Cheltenham.

And we had our own unfortunate story from BetMcLean after Goodwood..

I wouldn’t say avoid BetMcLean though as they have been good earner for me. Just be careful. Check terms and conditions. Don’t risk 1000’s at the exchange to extract £40/£50 with the risk the big win at the bookie will highlight your account or they will try and wriggle out of paying..
Also avoid sign up offers that require a large rollover – eg winner.
+0Ok thanks. I’ve seen some people say winner has been good for them but quite afew say avoid. What’s your opinion on bet stars?
Cheers+0I never heard a problem with betstars.
Don’t think their odds are the best but they have good promotions or at least did have for a time.
They are a part of poker stars so they have a big brand name behind them.
+0Do you know the wagering requirements for betstars? I can’t find it anywhere so do that mean there isn’t any requirements ?
Cheers+0Hi Aldershot.
You have to be able to read and understand terms and conditions yourself to be honest to be a successful matched bettor.
As far as I remember when I joined betstars there was no wagering requirements. But they credit you in stages as well – so 5 immediately, then 5 the next week and so on or something like that.
You will need to double check. But yeah, for me it was a nice easy sign up bonus.
+0wouldnt bookmakers with large rollovers be ok so long as you loose money at the bookie and gain it at the exchange?

Until i received my free bet. I would like to say 138.com as well.
I have never had an account with them. So signed up and took advantage of their enhanced odds bonus. Back Chelsea to win and stake a £10. If Chelsea win we will give you enhance odds of 5/1.
Spoke to their chat and was told they were having problems and were waiting on feedback the woman then said i would receive an email. I will give it another couple of days before getting on to them again.
+0A quick question about BetStars cash out policy, what does this term actually mean:
‘If your cashout exceeds the total amount you’ve deposited that PokerStars is able to redeem, or you’ve used a method of deposit not listed above, you may have the following options to receive your funds’
To me that sounds like if you’ve deposited £20 and go on to win £60 then you could only cash out £20 to your original payment method and the £40 would have to go somewhere else?
I assume that’s not the case as it would be a pain to have to deposit more just to be able to withdraw.. I think I’ve read that term on other betting sites and been able to withdraw so I reckon I’m just not understanding it correctly?
Cheers
+0Coral. Before your first withdrawal they demand the WORLD to get you verified and would do everything so your money stay locked in their site. Same applies to BetFred.
+0I find them all the same in that regard and getting worse.
I have sun demanding proof of address off me again even though I have withdrawn before but this time just a new card same number different expiry date.
I think in UK some bookies can verify you off the electoral register but I find registering as I am from Ireland they all want copies of cards, bills, passports etc.
It’s annoying when they say electronic bills are no good because that is all I get! I don’t have any bills come in the door any more. So I just print out the internet bill and fold it up and unfold it and scan it and send that.
+0Worst I had was betfair asked me to get a minister of oaths to sign my documents to verify that they were true copies. This was to transfer about €8 from my Australian wallet back to my main account. Wasn’t worth the hassle. Just bet it away.
+0Fog, how much have you made MB’ing and for how long have you been in the game?
+0I would say about €14,000 and serious for about 1 year. It’s been slow since March for me because I lost so many accounts over Cheltenham.
I have lost betfred tote betway racebets paddy ladbrokes Sky 888 coral betfair Betbright willhill bet365 and restricted on horses on 188Bet (don’t look at me for advice on keeping accounts open!). So it’s a hard slog trying to find the offers now.
