My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

decided to lay the place market now as some came in a little so £68 profit with a chance of 5 horses to hit 5th place

Am I right in saying that a winner on the GN still qualifies for risk free next race? If so, one not to forget in the madness that follows.

Wouldn’t say lucky i’m only having a joke around, just because its gone from 20 on the exchange to 13.5 I doubt that actually means I have any better chance at hitting that 5th place just because lots of people have backed him..

    Layed my other horse.
    Silvi Conti – £100 e/w – 17/16.75 then layed £50 on 4 places, and layed £26 on 5 places.

    1st – £100
    Place – £100
    5th – £452
    Other – £73

With my other horse I’m guaranteed at least £95.

Delighted with that, but would blow my load if either horse comes in 5th.

I think I’m in your boat Chris… something doesn’t smell right at all with the exchanges 🙁

I was so convinced that prices would shorten before the off, I backed Clouds at 10 last night. Adding to the frustration, my place lay matched at 5.2 so I’m left with an unmatched win lay that’s drifting.

    Hmm, what to do?

    – Should I hold my nerve and wait?
    – Should I lay the win in-play? (ergh)
    – Should I lay now at 14.5 and take the kick in the balls like a man?

Still no bet365 refunds for me. I did 4 bets this morning. I know they had plenty to do but has everyone got all theirs now?

i’d just lay it…so what you make slightly less profit its still free money!! Do you really want to risk losing £125 + because you couldn’t lay it for some reason.

Hold your nerve for a while longer, perhaps set yourself a deadline to get a lay on. In play is always best avoided imo.

If it was me why risk it? you are still going to make a nice profit on 10/14.5? maybe not the £80 some people have been saying but still.

Funny how the horses with the more bizarre names fall significantly on the day of the race.

    Mug punters eh

Ryan, I think you’re right. Just layed the win for 14.

Yes, I’ll make a lot less than I was expecting, but as I began this matched betting adventure with a view to enjoying myself, I figured that this was causing too much stress to be fun anymore.

A sincere good luck to all of you brave enough to hold off for a good price.

I’m off now to enjoy the National with the family by screaming at the telly 🙂
