My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Ice, I’m still waiting for some of mine from about 11 today. Got the rest from last night and early this morning. I’m sure it will be fine.

John W I would probably lay it as well. Too much risk for me.

On the positive side remember if he wins you also get a free 50 bet so you took 10 is really effectively 10.4 about.

Don’t see the harm in waiting to see where the lay odds go in the next half hour. Set yourself a target and have a deadline.

Wouldn’t risk it on in-play at the National, horse could easily fall and then odds out to 1000 and you’re in a creek – whereas if the horse goes well odds are likely to come crashing down until the last 4 or 5 fences.

Put simply I’m saying the risk is greater than the potential reward when going in play.

I think set a figure you’d take now and leave the bet in Smarkets, then check the bet at 5:00 if it’s not matched take the price then, if it is happy days.

John – feel for you. Thats really unlucky. Dont understand why the exchange is so far off the mark. But agree with Ryan, youre still going to win free money, so suck it up and dont risk losing £125

In the same boat, really disappointing how Many Clouds drifted, really didnt see it coming. Taken the guaranteed £30 now before he drifts even further but yeah what a damp squib. Hopefully The Druids Nephew will win.

Out at 15 so looks good the 14 you took now..obviously I suspect last 10 minutes will go crazy but yes no point doing matched betting if its getting you stressed!

im holding out until just before the off on many clouds, its only one of my 5 so not too bad and i got the place done at 4.9.

the exchange market for him has been so weird

It has been odd considering how quickly other horses have come in when their back odds shortened at the bookies.

Hindsight and all that but backing shutthefrontdoor last night/early this morning then waiting for the exchange odds to drop would have been great. I anticipated a little bit of a drop with the majority of mug punters going on the name only. I guess i underestimated the sheer volume of mug punters today aha

Yeah I know christop48 but I guess its not worth the risk is it ey…I did it last night 17/20 and the lay went as low as 12.5 I think today, but as you say hindsight!

Punters? Last night and early this morning it felt like match betters were having a big influence on the market.

I’d also like to say a big thanks to many of you on here for suggesting the tactic of backing and laying 5 horses rather than just the one. I’ve managed to get 65 guaranteed so far and an extra 125ish if one of my five horses finishes fifth. Not quite the hollywood that some of you are hoping for but I’m happy with it. Treating it as a one last hoorah as this is one of my few healthy accounts now aha.

Thinking about it i’d rather have 5 chances at a 5 place for an extra like £125 then my 1 chance at £700+…..hopefully one of us gets it!
