I would hope they pay out on bale. Good chance of building up some goodwill with the customer.

I think if it was a horse race and they pay out and then stewards reverse the decision that they generally don’t reverse the pay. First past the post.

Looked like a bale goal to me anyway. Slight deflection but still…

Bet Bright and customer good will though? One of the worst bookies around from what I have heard in regards to restrictions etc!

Now if you were talking about Sky id be certain it wouldnt get reversed but with bet bright you never know

It’s this kind of publicity that doesn’t cost them much that bookies love. I’m sure most of the money was on ronaldo so I’m sure they can afford it.

Betbright paid up on Bale for me, even better news was that Betfair never paid out on Bale so my lay bet against Bale was also awarded as a win!

Still no reversal of Bale payout so heres hoping they’ve decided to honour it.

Saw the goal on the news last night, if that was in Premier League it would never be given as an own goal. Great finish.

Its now showing as a losing bet in my bet history so I think they will be reversing our withdrawals and removing our winnings.

Such harsh luck especially as it wasnt an own goal.

Yep, I’d be pretty disappointed with that if it happened to me.

I watched it though, I think that he was actually trying to cross it.

If you take a shot and its on target and gets a deflection then you should be credited with the goal.

If the original shot is not on target and it gets deflected in then I suppose it has to be considered an own goal. And since Bale’s just crept in at the post, it probably wasn’t on target when it left his boot – so I can see how it was given as an o.g.

Yup thats the rules if the original shot wasn’t on target…therefore it was an own goal. Bet Bright just shouldnt have declared a Bale goal so early should have waited.

Well I got the full amount in my account today so I’m not sure they can reverse it now.

Moral of the story – withdraw before they change it!!!
