Betfair laying non-present player

  • Just noticed you can lay Sturridge to score on Betfair Exchange at 15.0. Given that he’s not playing, and not on the bench, and is therefore unable to score, is laying this valid?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Okay, so that one’s gone, but you can still lay Sanchez.

Seems odd that would be available to me, if is it possible seems to me impossible to lose….but I can see why you would be suspicious!

Yeah. Well, I layed Sturridge for a fiver, so I’ll report later if I actually get paid or if it gets cancelled.

I suggest you read the rules on the market………………………

“Betfair will void all bets on players not playing”

    To Score – Rules:

The player does not need to play the full match, with bets standing if the player plays any part in the match. Betfair will void all bets on players not playing.

We need to elevate this forum to a new plateau. Rookie mistakes like this will not help.

Rookie mistake? he gets the stake back? = he loses nothing no harm done? whats the problem?

Johnson – it was a question in ‘Matched Betting’ not a suggestion in ‘New Offers’.

    Don’t lose sleep over it.

Have either of you seen Peep Show?!?

Humour on “Johnson’s” part methinks, not intended to mock 😉

Thankfully Johnson doesn’t post much stuff on the forums.

For what can be a very dry forum, a few posts from Johnson do brighten things up a bit. Even funnier when people take them at face value.

Yeah but I can understand why people would take offence if they don’t watch this ‘peep show’…or know hes joking? I think youll find multiple people on different threads get offended because of it

    Really? Actually offended?

Agree with @beh, lightens the mood imo

Add to that, his alter-egos on here (MC & JU) add a great deal to the forum and I can forgive “Johnson’s” occasional bombs 😉

From what I have seen on other threads yes, not saying im against it, just an observation!
