Betway January Sale

  • Found a pretty decent enhanced double on tonight’s NBA with Betway. They’re enhancing the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs both to win to 3.50. This can be sequentially layed as the Raptors game is at the O2 and hence tipping off nice and early.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Thanks JJ, I’ve been taking a punt on some of the enhanced prices on NBA accas that Hills have been running lately, just letting them run where sufficiently +EV

Will take a look at this one later, although if it is any good then I expect Betway have already taken it down, like they did with the decent footy accas they had on (briefly!) yesterday 😉

Someone check my maths (and logic!) here please:

Place £100 on the enhanced double (TOR & SA) @3.5 = returns £350 (£250 profit)

Lay TOR for £105.24 @1.59 (£62.09 liability at current lay odds) – if TOR lose stop and break even, if TOR win then…

Lay SA for £170.62 @1.4 (£68.25 liability at current lay odds) – if SA lose break even, if SA win then total profit = £119.66 (250 – 62.09 – 68.25)

As far as I can see it’s gone so unless you’re already on it I wouldn’t waste your time on the maths, would love to be proved wrong though!

There is however Bulls, Spurs, Jazz and pistons to win at 6.5

Would still appreciate someone who is familiar with sequential laying to tell me if my numbers are right or not? Obv I was going for full underlay

Checked your maths and this is what I have

1st lay would be £105 (to break even) with a liability of £61.95 if Tor lose stop get your £100 back. If Tor wins then

Lay £170.05 @ 1.4 (liability of £68.02) so if SA win your profit would then be

    £250 – 61.95 – 68.02 = £120.03

Unless I misunderstood something from the calcs you put on there.

Cheers for that Shaun. Looks like I was close, guess the difference is down to rounding for the commission.

Appreciate you taking the time to verify – now that I am sure I have the logic right I’ll knock a calculator up for next time!

I got a tenner on the betway offer in the end – given how +EV the odds were I just left it to run, but now that I see Toronto won at the O2 I think I’ll lock in £17 odd profit rather than risk San Antonio not bringing home the bacon! Only stand to win £25 total in any case

Thanks again OP – punted it for £10, so even after laying a bit of it off after watching the Raptors edge out Orlando in the early game, it came in for a nice profit 🙂
