Daily Mirror local Shop offer
-
I’m getting a free £5 matched bet in store thanks to a Daily Mirror offer. It’s for NI shops McCleans bookmakers. I’ve went aroun 3 shops an backe at enhanced odds of 3.75 an I can lay off on Betfair @ 3.25.
3 papers cost 2.70p and I’ve bet £15. I’m struggling to work out how much to lay.
Any help?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

If it is a free bet then your stake would be £3.98 x 3 (if doing seperarely) as I have added into the stake forfeited colum the cost of 1 newspaper also so stake forfeited then would be £5.90
Overall profit = £3.90 x 3
+0Thanks for the quick reply, can you add how you worked this out?
I’m laying on Betfair with 5% commission.
+0recalculated
its a free bet so i put a tick in my calculator for a free bet then for stake forfeited I added in the cost of the newspaper
so £5.90 forfeited not just £5
I could be wrong mind its just my opinion
so you would lay £4.02 taking 5% commission into account for a profit of £3.81 per £5 free bet
+0try using Matts calculator on this blog and see what you thin though or just take the cost of the newspaper from your profit and keep forfeit as the same as your bet and see what profits you the best.
+0Thanks guys, I do use Matt’s calculator, it’s just the factoring in the cost of the newspaper confused me. I’ve done the bet in 3 shops, lets hope the favourite loses as I’d rather win on the exchange.
They had £10 matched betting for today but the Welsh Grand National was put back until the 9th. It’s worth keeping an eye on as I notice these newspaper offers several times a year.
One thing I noticed was the enhanced early morning prices in the shop, maybe worth it if you can get big stakes on in shop for an arb.
