New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The big enhanced places race tomorrow is on Hills Deathstar. Paying 7 places in the 13.30 so you should see some value there.
+1Hello all, hope your doing well.
This feels like 2017 again, just needs Matchdem and his profit thread.!
+2And get Matt to pull a few strings and get us old timers a set of clean accounts…. 🙂
+0Good luck everyone.
+0Good Man Pat 17/16 in the 4.50 with Bet365 1/4 odds 5 places
+1Cheers Fog I’ll get on that.
I wonder who else is still about?
+0Hills odds are pure garbage though
+0I am back as well! Not sure anyone would remember me though as I mostly lurk haha
My main offer is the £25 freebets at bet365, not sure what else is floating about that I can still do.
+0Anyone know if a badly gubbed bet365 AC is any any good for Cheltenham? IE can I place ANY bets on it.TIA
+0Setara. I checked last year and I made €100 profit on a heavily restricted 365. So far this year I’ve been able to get on quite a few again. The 1/4 odds are great and often a bit of value in the Each Way Extra tabs, though stakes are even smaller. Just max bet anything that looks like value, wouldn’t bother laying small stakes.
It’s not a whole lot but if your gubbed and restricted else where then why not. The pennies make the pounds.
+0Setara I’ve got 32 open bets on mine and i don’t think I’ve put as much focus on it as I could.
You can bet to win £50 (usually 20 to 30) and they have loads value so u can rack up decent volumes of value bets
+0Thanks lads….
+04.50 Solomon Grundy, 26/28, place odds 7 could be worth a shot
+1Good to see some familiar names dropping in for Cheltenham.
Hope everyone has a profitable Festival. Good luck all!
+0Hi guys, ive never done an extra place bet before but ive been reading through Matt’s guides on here trying to work out if ive got this right?
E.G bet 365 paying 5 places in the 13.30 first race at cheltenham (1/4 the odds):
Angels breath currently 5.5 (at bet365) 6.4 (to lay at betfair) so….
I Bet £10 ew at bet365
betfair (2% commission) Lay stake in the “WIN” market = £8.62
Lay stake in the “PLACE” market at 2.6 (current price on betfair) = £8.24Total loss if the horse is 1st, 2nd, 3rd or doesnt place = £-3.49
Total Profit if it places (4th or 5th) = £+17.76id really appreciate if someone could have a look at my figures and if im placing my bets in the correct markets (eg is it always the “PLACE” market on betfair and not the “4 places” OR “5 places” markets they have?)
Also isnt that £-3.49 quite a big loss if i don’t win? How would i get that loss down to pennies, or do we always take a bigger hit on the extra place offers?
Sorry for the long post and total newb question but i really don’t want to make a mistake! Thanks
