Day 1

  • Doing Chris’s job and getting the separate thread opened for the different days.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

For any of you guys that have had a new Bet365 account for Cheltenham in previous years, if you absolutely hammer it on the first day is it likely to last all four days? They usually go 1/4 on the places so there tends to be e/w arbs available on all races. Instead of trying to blend in with £20 stakes, which usually results in a gubbing anyway i’m thinking of going with big stakes all four days and face the inevitable gubbing soon after.

Has anyone got experience of doing this? Any tips?

Paddy’s doing money back up to £10 if your horse finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th in all opening day races. Could hit £70 in FB.

Go big on bet365 Harambe, they have that many big bets being placed over Cheltenham that you will be able to see out the 4 days.

Bet365 have gotten a lot tighter with gubbings/restrictions recently so there’s no point trying to blend in, just go for max profit over Cheltenham- there will will be loads of great extra place races plus the 1/4 odds on every race as you say.

The hardest thing will be trying to avoid getting gubbed before Cheltenham even starts, there seems to be a massive cull of accounts lately, William Hill have been ruthless along with Sky Bet.

Don’t forget to sign your friends / family up if you can as soon as possible

Bet365 did a cracker on the gold cup, if I remember correctly I needed my horse to finish 4th for £700 and £60 for anywhere else

Just think.. increase your chances of hitting 4th

I was doing some maths and I reckon there’s a guaranteed £7ish each race if you lay the EW (£7-8)

Try some numbers on the exchange

Bazza74, is that PP offer only valid for one bet on one horse?

Jullien it’s for your first bet on each race only, so yes one horse per race

Ryan, could you elaborate on your comment “I was doing some maths and I reckon there’s a guaranteed £7ish each race if you lay the EW (£7-8)” ? Do you mean if you cover the whole field or something else?

Looks like 365 are tightening up big time this year, no freebet offers for the big races of each day.

Adio, I got my maths wrong (got slightly excited) can lay the each way to make it risk free but not quite guaranteed

Lucky for those who have £50 / £50 with B365, most will have £10 or £25

    Bonjour.

Thought I’d stick my head in for Cheltenham. Booked tomorrow to Friday off work so I can hammer it as much as possible.

Bet365 will be the one, I’ve got bet 25 get 25 as my offer but the real money will be made in the enhanced places. Remember to get those bets on the night before.

Havent seen anything from the likes of Betstars yet and when I logged in to Betbright it looks like they’ve ceased trading.

Yeah, Betbright have gone Chris. Taken over (and closed down) by 888. Shame, I made some decent money from them last year.

Howdy Chris. Hope you’re going well. Still betting or you just come out for the big festivals. Wondering if you’ve run out of accounts or its become tedious?

Ryan Berry, are you the same as RyanB? If so welcome back!
