Last updated: 30th October 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Matched Betting Blog, including your free account, the forum and comments, and our paid membership, MBB Plus. Please read them before you create an account or subscribe. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

Your use of the site is also covered by our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Disclaimer.

Contents

1. Who we are

Matched Betting Blog (matchedbettingblog.com) is run by Matched Betting Blog Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10283883. Our registered office is 117-119 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN31 3ET, United Kingdom.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Matched Betting Blog Ltd, and “you” means the person using the site.

You can contact us through our contact page or by emailing support@matchedbettingblog.com.

2. Who can use the site

You must be 18 or over to create an account or use our tools. Matched betting involves placing bets with bookmakers and betting exchanges, so it isn’t suitable for anyone under 18, or for anyone who has had problems with gambling. If gambling is causing you harm, you can find free, confidential support at BeGambleAware and block gambling sites with GAMSTOP.

MBB Plus is only available to people who live in the United Kingdom and pay with a UK billing address (see section 7).

3. What we provide

Matched Betting Blog provides guides, offer listings, calculators and tools to help you take advantage of bookmaker promotions. We aren’t a bookmaker or a betting exchange. We don’t take bets, hold your money or pay out winnings.

Everything on the site is for information and education only. It isn’t financial, legal or tax advice, and it isn’t a recommendation to gamble. You’re responsible for your own decisions and for every bet you place.

Most of the site is free. MBB Plus gives paying members extra features, such as unrestricted Oddsmatcher results, live odds and one-click lay bet placement. The features included in each are described on our MBB Plus page.

4. Your account

When you register, please give accurate details and keep them up to date. Your account is for you alone:

  • Don’t share your login details or let anyone else use your account.
  • Don’t create more than one account, including to get around free account limits or to take an introductory price more than once.
  • Keep your password secure, and let us know straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. If you have an MBB Plus subscription, please cancel it first (see section 7.7).

5. Using the site and tools fairly

You may use the site and tools for your own personal matched betting. You must not:

  • scrape, copy or collect data from the site or tools by automated means, including bots, scripts, crawlers or browser extensions;
  • use the tools at a rate that a person couldn’t reasonably achieve by hand, or in a way that puts an unreasonable load on our systems;
  • resell, republish or share Oddsmatcher results, odds data or members-only content, or use them to build a competing product or service;
  • try to get around any limits, security measures or paid features, or reverse engineer our tools;
  • use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or in a way that breaches the terms of a bookmaker or betting exchange that applies to you.

We monitor use of the site and tools to protect them. If we reasonably believe you’ve broken these rules, we may limit, suspend or close your account (see section 11).

6. The forum, comments and other contributions

You’re welcome to post in our forum and comment on our pages. Please keep it friendly and helpful. Your posts must not:

  • be illegal, or encourage or help anyone to do anything illegal;
  • be abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory or harassing;
  • be sexually explicit or otherwise unsuitable for a general audience;
  • contain spam, advertising or affiliate links;
  • offer to buy, sell, lend or borrow betting accounts, or recruit people to place bets on someone else’s behalf;
  • share other people’s personal information without their permission;
  • infringe anyone else’s copyright or other rights;
  • be misleading, including impersonating another person or posting fake reviews.

If you see a post that breaks these rules, please report it through the forum or our contact page. We review reports and may remove posts, and we may warn, suspend or ban users who break these rules. If you think we’ve removed your post or restricted your account unfairly, you can ask us to look at it again through the contact page.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store and use it on the site and in our related channels, such as our newsletter and social media. We’ll only quote you with a username or first name, never your email address.

Our Discord server is run on Discord’s platform, so Discord’s own terms and community guidelines also apply there.

7. MBB Plus

7.1 Who can subscribe

MBB Plus is available to people aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom and pay with a card that has a UK billing address. We may refuse or cancel a subscription that doesn’t meet these conditions, and we’ll refund any payment taken.

7.2 Plans and prices

MBB Plus is available as a monthly or annual subscription. The current prices, and any introductory price, are shown on our MBB Plus page and again at checkout before you pay. Prices are in pounds sterling. We aren’t currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.

Where a plan has an introductory price, checkout shows how long it lasts and the price you’ll pay after it ends.

7.3 Payment and automatic renewal

Payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. We don’t see or store your full card details.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method for each renewal at the price that applies at the time. For annual plans, we’ll email you before your renewal date to remind you of the price and how to cancel.

If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and try again over the following 14 days. If it still hasn’t been paid 14 days after the renewal date, your subscription will end and your account will continue as a free account. You’ll keep MBB Plus access while we try to take the payment.

7.4 Founder pricing

If you subscribe while Founder pricing is offered, your renewal price is locked at the rate shown at checkout (currently £24.99 a month or £199.99 a year) for as long as your subscription stays continuously active, even if we raise prices for new members.

Founder pricing ends if your subscription ends, whether because you cancel or because a payment isn’t made within the period in section 7.3. If you rejoin later, the prices on offer at that time will apply. Switching between monthly and annual plans keeps your Founder pricing on the new plan, provided there’s no gap in your subscription.

7.5 Price changes

If you aren’t on Founder pricing, we may change the renewal price of MBB Plus. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you don’t want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before your next renewal and you won’t be charged it.

7.6 What’s included, and changes to it

We regularly improve our tools, and we may add, change or remove MBB Plus features over time. We won’t make changes that significantly reduce what you’ve paid for during your current billing period. If we do need to make a change like that, we’ll tell you, and you can cancel and receive a refund for any part of the period you’ve paid for but not received.

We aim to keep the tools available at all times, but they rely on third-party data and services, so we can’t promise they’ll always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Short interruptions for maintenance or issues outside our control don’t entitle you to a refund.

7.7 Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from your account page, or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future renewals. You’ll keep MBB Plus access until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and we won’t charge you again.

Apart from the money-back guarantee in section 7.8, and situations where we’re at fault, we don’t refund part-used billing periods.

7.8 14-day money-back guarantee

If you cancel within 14 days of your first MBB Plus payment, we’ll refund that payment in full. The same applies to an annual payment: if you cancel within 14 days of switching to an annual plan, or of a yearly renewal, we’ll refund that payment in full.

This guarantee includes, and goes further than, your legal right as a consumer to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.

Monthly renewals aren’t covered. After your first month, you can cancel at any time to stop future payments (see section 7.7), but we don’t refund a month that has already started.

To cancel and claim your refund, use the cancellation option in your account or contact us within the 14 days. We’ll refund you within 14 days, to the payment method you used. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7.9 If we end your membership

If we close your account because you’ve seriously or repeatedly broken these terms (for example, by sharing your account or scraping data), your MBB Plus access will end and we won’t refund the rest of your billing period.

If we decide to stop offering MBB Plus, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any part of your billing period that you’ve paid for but won’t receive.

8. Connecting a betting exchange and placing lay bets

Some of our tools let you connect your Smarkets or Matchbook account and place lay bets on that exchange from our site. This is optional.

When you use this feature:

  • you authorise us to send the bet instructions you confirm to the exchange on your behalf;
  • every bet is placed on your exchange account and is a contract between you and the exchange, under the exchange’s own terms. We don’t hold your funds and aren’t responsible for settling bets or paying winnings;
  • you’re responsible for checking each bet before you confirm it, including the selection, odds, stake and liability;
  • odds and available liquidity change quickly, so a bet may be matched at different odds, only partly matched, or not matched at all;
  • the exchange may reject a bet, and its systems or the connection may sometimes be unavailable.

We’ll use reasonable care and skill in providing this feature. We aren’t responsible for losses caused by price changes, partly matched or unmatched bets, the exchange’s systems, or details you confirmed incorrectly, unless the loss was caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

You can disconnect your exchange account at any time from your account settings, and you can also remove our access through the exchange. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we store when you connect an exchange.

9. Offers, odds and accuracy

We work hard to keep our offer listings, guides and odds accurate, but they can be wrong or out of date. Bookmakers change their offers and terms without notice, and odds come from third parties and can be delayed or incorrect. Always check the bookmaker’s own terms and the live odds before placing a bet.

Profit figures on the site are estimates based on typical results. They aren’t guaranteed, and what you make will depend on the offers available to you, the odds you find, the time you put in and whether bookmakers restrict your accounts.

Matched betting carries a small risk of loss, for example if a bet is placed incorrectly, odds move before a lay bet is placed, or a bookmaker voids a bet. Bookmakers may also limit or close accounts that they believe are being used for matched betting.

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you sign up to a bookmaker, casino or betting exchange through one of them, we may receive a commission. This doesn’t cost you anything, and it helps keep most of the site free. We may also earn commission from betting exchanges when you use them through our tools.

11. Suspending or closing accounts

We may limit, suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe you’ve broken these terms, used the site unlawfully or fraudulently, or put other users or our systems at risk. Where it’s reasonable to do so, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If you have MBB Plus, section 7.9 explains what happens to your subscription.

12. Our content

The content on the site, including our guides, tools, calculators, data, design and logos, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own personal matched betting. You may not copy, republish or sell it, or use it for commercial purposes, without our written permission. You’re welcome to link to our pages.

13. Limits on our responsibility

We aren’t responsible for:

  • losses from bets you place, except where section 8 says otherwise;
  • actions taken by bookmakers or betting exchanges, including restricting or closing your accounts, voiding bets or changing their offers;
  • business losses, as we only provide the site for personal use;
  • problems caused by events outside our reasonable control.

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it’s obvious it will happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when you started using the service.

Where the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us for MBB Plus in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss, or £50 if you haven’t paid us anything in that time.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. We’ll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. If we make an important change that affects MBB Plus members, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you don’t agree with the change, you can cancel before it takes effect.

15. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with anything, please contact us through our contact page or at support@matchedbettingblog.com. We’ll reply as soon as we can and do our best to put things right. For complaints about how we use your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

16. Other important terms

  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We’ll tell you if this happens, and it won’t affect your rights.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
  • If a court decides that part of these terms is unlawful, the rest will stay in force.
  • If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Nobody else has any rights under these terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts there.
