About the Bet Builder Buddy

The Bet Builder Buddy is a Bet Builder calculator that helps you match a bookmaker Bet Builder with the lay bets you need to cover it at a betting exchange. It’s ideal for Bet Builder offers, where working out what to lay by hand can take a while.

You can use it either way round. Enter the selections from your Bet Builder, and it’ll work out what you need to lay, or start with a lay selection and find Bet Builder combinations to try at the bookmaker.

The Bet Builder Buddy takes the guesswork out of matching Bet Builders. Enter your Bet Builder selections, and it’ll find the lay bet (or bets) you need, calculate your lay stakes and show you the result, whatever the outcome.

Is the Bet Builder Buddy free?

Yes. Everything in the Bet Builder Buddy is free to use until MBB Plus launches the week commencing 26th October. You’ll just need a free account and to be logged in to use live odds, Bet Builder recommendations and lay bet placement.

After that, the manual version will stay free, and live odds, Bet Builder recommendations and lay bet placement will move to MBB Plus.

What are Bet Builder recommendations?

They’re suggested Bet Builder combinations worth trying at the bookmaker.

Pick a bookmaker and fixture, or browse the best-rated options across all available fixtures, and the Bet Builder Buddy will highlight recommended selections before showing you the matching Bet Builders.

They’re there to help narrow down your options, so there’s no guarantee a particular combination will get you the best price at the bookmaker.

Which exchanges are supported?

You can use the Bet Builder Buddy with any exchange by entering the lay odds yourself.

Live odds and lay bet placement are available on the supported exchanges shown in the tool, and I’ll be adding more over time.

Why won’t a Bet Builder combination work at my bookmaker?

Bookmakers set their own rules for which Bet Builder markets and combinations they allow, and these can change over time.

The Bet Builder Buddy shows combinations that match your lay selection, but a bookmaker won’t always let you build every one. If that happens, just try one of the other combinations shown.

Can the Bet Builder Buddy handle multiple lay bets?

Yes. Some Bet Builders win under more than one outcome, so you’ll need to lay more than one selection to cover them. This is known as a ‘multi-lay’.

The Bet Builder Buddy will find those outcomes and work out each lay stake for you. On supported exchanges, you can then place all of the lay bets in one click.

I’ve found a bug. What should I do?

The Bet Builder Buddy is a new tool, so it may have the odd rough edge while I keep improving it.
