Easy way to avoid gubbing..?

  • Ok I’m fairly new to this so may be missing something glaringly obvious…

    But…

If you take all.offers at a bookies and then instead of Withdrawing the funds lose it to them via a matched bet so that all your money is on the exchange surely the bookies are happy?

Even if the know you are matched betting surely they won’t close your account if they see you are always losing it back to them so you can withdraw on an exchange?

Ok so maybe once in a blue moon you will get back to back 10/1s come off and be stuck there with a couple of grand to withdraw but generally speaking this won’t occur?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Appreciate the thoughts and will answer your points.

Yes it will cost me 70p to do this, but 1 in 3 times it will work meaning a loss of £2.10 to transfer my £35 across to avoid withdrawing and keep myself in negative equity with the bookie seems to be decent to me? Also I need to mug bet anyway so this is a decent opportunity?

Your point with regards to the horse, if at any time that had pulled in 0.01 more on either end (which at some point it probably did) every free arb software in the world will buzz and with the thousands trying to get on a market at a very specific time the bookies will instantly know that market was marked for arbs. If you bet on that market its flagging you up as a potential arber and more likely to get gubbed

Finally, nothing we ever do will prevent us from being gubbed. All we can do is try to take steps to avoid being gubbed for as long as possible and different steps will show different success. The grey area is there doesnt seem to be any definative methods!

    Again, open to thoughts?

I must have been getting flagged up every day then. For the past month or so now I have regularly sat and waited for good arbs on the horse win markets and i have regularly walked away a very happy customer. With some bookies it really is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Chucking 100s on 10/1 shots, especially horses that will often go off shorter. Probably a quicker way to get gubbed (win or lose) than taking up the offers!

Well my main thought is withdrawing £35 won’t get you gubbed so you may as well withdraw it in the first place. However if your happy doing what your doing then if your first bet wins you’ll be looking at more than 70p for the second bet and more for any subsequent bets. It wouldn’t be long before the value of your original free bet disappeared altogether. As for being flagged for arbing prices change that quickly just before the off that you have to see them yourself. By the time you’ve looked elsewhere they’ll have gone.

I’ve been doing the daily Euro2016 offers everyday, but I’ve been switching accounts. If one accounts wins on the qualifying bet and free bet, then the next day, I’ll switch to a spare account.

I rarely go for odds over 10, all of my bets are between £5 and £50. I think I lose as much as I win with the bookies, I do a few slots with them, max £5. I don’t bother with any of them arbs advertised on here and I don’t any boosts as I think thats what the bookies maybe looking for and also they could be checking on this forum too for arbs posted.
