Extra Place – Each Way Betting

Apologies for the probably obvious question. I’ve been reading through the extra place guide on the blog and understand everything apart from the each way bet. The example given was a £10 bet placed each way on a horse, followed by the lay bet on the exchange. This each way bet, it this just £20 on the odds to win, or on the insure bet/place only bet. Apologies again, I just can’t get my head round it

When you select your horse on the main market you will have the option to click Each way. If you want to bet £10 ew you stake £10 then click on the ew box and it will double your total stake to £20.
