After doing the William Hill bore draw offer and it coming in was pretty sure I was already gubbed (turns out I am)

However as I complained that I never had an email about this they credited the £50 free bet as a goodwill gesture, kind of them. The person on the life chat did say this though which I thought interesting:

“However, please note that we have processes which ensure that your account will be monitored constantly with regards to any restriction that is made. Your business will be reviewed by our Trading department and your level of restriction will be constantly re-assessed.”

So perhaps the question that people ask is it possible to be ungubbed…the answer is maybe? However, weighing up all the losses mug betting with them for a potential ungub which might never happen and then could quickly be reversed is probably not worth it, found it interesting enough to get your thoughts on it anyway.

Creating new accounts may work, but carries more risk – if you are caught with multiple accounts they’ll take it much more seriously and could take any of your winnings – potentially leaving you seriously out of pocket

I think it depends on the bookie some have very long memories. I recently opened an account with Bet365, was awarded the £200 matching bonus but when I tried to use it I was stopped. Phoned them up and they informed me I already had an account with them from 10 years ago. I had only used the account for playing poker, had never used it for any form of betting, fortunately they decided to award me the £200 bonus.

The thing is this account had not been used for 10 years, I now have a different email and bank account but name and address are the same and they still had my records in a data base. I had actually forgotten I had played poker on their site, at that time I used to play a lot of poker on lots different casino sites chasing the various bonuses.

I’ve been un-gubbed by loads of books, at least in terms of limits been raised, not to what they were originally mind, but certainly a lot better than when I first got gubbed. never been allowed promo’s and bonuses again though after not being allowed them anymore

Unfortunately asking WH to close your account is not an option:

“we will not be able to comply with this request as we are obliged under Gibraltar and EU law to retain records of all customers and their transactions to ensure accurate record keeping, data protection law and to comply with international financial laws. ”

Sooo not sure how kjillman’s friend at work did it.. Gutted that I can’t use WH anymore.

However, I have been successful in creating new accounts on other sites which are still running today… Just unsuccessful with B365 / WH which have been two of my favourites.
