Finally a good live chat…and also light at the end of the tunnel?

After doing the William Hill bore draw offer and it coming in was pretty sure I was already gubbed (turns out I am)

However as I complained that I never had an email about this they credited the £50 free bet as a goodwill gesture, kind of them. The person on the life chat did say this though which I thought interesting:

“However, please note that we have processes which ensure that your account will be monitored constantly with regards to any restriction that is made. Your business will be reviewed by our Trading department and your level of restriction will be constantly re-assessed.”

So perhaps the question that people ask is it possible to be ungubbed…the answer is maybe? However, weighing up all the losses mug betting with them for a potential ungub which might never happen and then could quickly be reversed is probably not worth it, found it interesting enough to get your thoughts on it anyway.

Whether it actually does happen often would be interesting, but yeah I know doing mug bets is minimal loss but its only surely worth it if you are getting free bets back..eventually they’ll stack up (obviously offset your other profits but still less overall profit) and therefore might not be worth it, and even if you managed to mug bet at 0 loss that will take a lot of time spending good matches to maybe never getting ungubbed. Then you have to take into considering all that time to get ungubbed then you could get gubbed again pretty quick.

Guess it depends on how good the bookie is too. For example I made 400 + from William Hill this year before I was blocked after Cheltenham. Would imagine if I had an account with them now my 3 month profit be nearer 40

Thats standard Ryan, if you check gubbing emails most of them will say that they review/re-assess in the future. Ladbrokes, William Hill both say it in the gubbing email I got from them in March.

Yeah, I was told the same when gubbed on Cheltenham-eve.

Haven’t placed another bet with them since, but tend to agree with your comment that it would not be worth the time and effort needed to mug enough for them to revise their decision.

I’d bet a fair wedge that they never reinstate an account once gubbed tbh. Not sure about you, but once gubbed the max liability they would take on any of my bets was £30 or thereabouts anyway (so good luck extracting that £50 free bet!), which would make the mug-strategy even harder to execute.

Just get another girlfriend! 😉

So based off your ‘Fact’ you have a record of every single persons betting account in the entire world and have analysed them out and your findings are conclusive that once gubbed their is no going back.

I admit it only lasted a couple of weeks til gubbed again

close your account and then try opening one 6 – 12 months later. Friend at work has done this with Hills and worked for him.i’m sure they wipe out old accounts like they do with dormant accounts. Ryan try it (if you still have your girlfriends to use)

That’s an interesting suggestion kjillman.

I wonder how good their records really are? If you were to close the account today, then sign up again in 6-12 months later with a different username and bank details, maybe that would work.

Perhaps worth a shot?

Just been reading this thread and can only tell you it’s not a fiction at all. I will give you my example with Laddies. About 6 maybe 7 years ago I opened an account with them for my ex as she loved to play bingo (don’t laugh;). I never really used that account for nothing else. Perhaps done a handful of bets with them that’s all. Now I have been matched betting since the beginning of this year and just before Cheltenham I tried to login to this account to take advantage of their money back 2nd offer. My old login and password stayed unrecognised which only indicated that account has been closed by them due to inactivity. I quickly opened a new account with them using exactly the same email address and phone number as these have not changed at all for at least past 10 years. Obviously I also used my full name which is foreign and believe me there is probably only one like that in Britain. All the rest like bank card details, my address etc. were new.
I can only tell you my Laddies account is up and running and had no problem with it whatsover. I received their £50 free bet and participated in other promos.
So to answer your question yes it is possible and bookies wipe their databases or at least archive them.
