Getting restricted – some advice

  • If you take part in any promotion and find yourself being denied a free bet that you are entitled to, don’t shrug your shoulders and move on. Complain (politely) to customer services and mention IBAS.

I’ve been restricted without prior warning at Betfred and Boylesports and had free bets cancelled, but had these re-instated when challenged. All I did was remind them of their commitment to fairness, honesty and transparency (as the IBAS code of conduct expects) and that they have no right to take away a free bet that has been legitimately ‘earned’ without any foreknowledge of restriction.

Obviously this approach doesn’t get your account un-restricted! But in my case a simple email complaint to customer services has given me £70 worth of free bets that otherwise would have been taken away.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I’ve done the same and always say if you have not notified me how am I meant to know. Always get that final free bet through before being banned.

Nice one thanks for the info, was going to take that approach anyway. I cannot help but think that there is more to Corals reasons than meet the eye. I’ve been betting for only a month and won £60 in total and lost £30, so have not been pulling up tree stumps lol…..absolutely no reason in my book to take away the bonus????? VERY STRANGE?
