Help with Acca's

  • Hi,

I’m new to matched betting and have just started making a small profit on sign up offers on two sites and a couple of their promo’s. I’ve rarely used online betting before apart from a few first goalscorer bets on big matches or world cup / euro winners.

I’ve been looking at accas tonight as they appear to have regular money back offers if one doesn’t hit. I’ve searched this forum and read a few threads but still looking for some basic info. This might be as Im searching and reading at midnight on a Friday!

I’m looking for a just a brief step by step guide of the process you use to guarantee profit and/or how to get any free bet offers with a small QL.

If there are some good spreadsheets you know of that you are happy to share then that’d be great so I can look closely at those to follow the process and experiment a bit with varying odds. I’m trying to stay away from popular pay sites to avoid getting flagged by putting the same accas on as many others every week.

Any other tips anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I’m not really the Acca guy, but I would say they are not for newbies so if you are just starting out concentrate on doing the various straight forward offers.
the problem being they are not really risk free as the odds can change mid way through, and you can’t necessarily guarantee a profit. you will also need quite a large float at the exchange.
No doubt someone will be along soon to tell me I am wrong, so in the meantime have a search for the forum, there are dozens and dozens of threads on accas.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll stay away for now unless someone comes along and convinces me otherwise.

    Practice with£1 bets.
Pick out sequential lays – today’s Celtic, Chelsea, ManU would have been great – see Matt’s blog. Odds change over the time differences. Been caught myselfbadly like that.

Go for top team home wins. Odds will work out @3. Don’t lay.

Check BF exchange accas and underlay if you fancy something.

There have been two spreadsheets posted that you can use for acca insurance offers. They were recent threads in the last week like. Then there is lots and lots written here on various forums.

I think betmclean is the best offer out there at the mo, but I’m gubbed on a bunch of sites so never did acca’s on will hill for example so not sure on their offers.

They are not risk free as 1. Odds can drift and 2. Legs can be cancelled or postponed which usually negates the offer.

If you get to the fifth leg and you are still laying then you need a lot in the exchange because you need to recoup all you’ve already lost at the exchange plus some to guarantee the profit.

The basic gist is to find really short favourite with pretty tight back and lay odds. Think of it as maximising the chance of getting a free bet. Ideally 4 bankers and one longer odds but still with tight odds. The value in the offer is in the free bet so maximising the chance of getting a free bet maximises the value to you….

Then you start laying the acca sequentially leg by leg. If one leg loses then there is still value in the free bet so you keep laying smaller stakes until a second leg loses or you qualify for free bet or win the acca. If you have proportioned your stakes right then you will come out of it with guaranteed profit (usually 10% to 20% of original stake in profit if you have picked tight odds and short odds).

I put off getting into acca’s for a long time but there is money in them and I rely on them now for 90% of profits. They are tricky but good value. And the football odds don’t move fast like the horses so don’t have to keep tracking the exchanges as much.

Also if you fancy setting up a “punt fund” from your first £300 profit then there is great value in the sportingbet acca offer (no min odds, up to 4 refunds per day). But all legs have to settle on the same day so usually impossible to lay for the guaranteed profit approach. Still work out the legs as before using same spreadsheets and work out the value but don’t lay and just take long term value. If you are not laying then very important to keep the odds very low otherwise you will hit long streaks of losing.

Thanks for the help! I’ll take a look for a spreadsheet and read some more posts before I get started on one. How much do you recommend having in the exchange for an acca?
