How long can you do matched betting?
-
First of all, this is my first post, so hello ✋?✋?.
I realise this question is like asking ‘how long is a piece of string?’, but I just wanted to get an idea of how long it’s possible to match bet. Mainly by seeing how long other people have been at it?
Has anyone ever been gubbed from all bookies?
Cheers

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hi Paul – if you’re just starting out – why worry about this now! Just enjoy it while it lasts. Do the sign ups, spend a few months doing the blog offers, make a few K, then see where you’re at after that.
I’ve been going since June – only lost a couple of accounts, and that was because in the early days I didn’t really know what I was doing, and was placing free bets on Chinese 2nd division games….
Just be sensible. Stick to big football competitions (prem, fa cup, champions league etc), and UK racing. Don’t stick all your bets on whatever appears at the top of an oddsmatcher – be willing to lose that extra 50p, and stay under the radar for longer.
+16 months in and still going strong mate.
+0Just like you Paul I’m a so called newbie but I’m afraid me and you hit the worst time to become matched bettors. Bookies have become stingy and the offers are disgraceful – people on here earn their coppers EW ARBING – a thing I’m yet to try but will soon, as there’s literally no good offer on – check out Matt’s blog and you will see what I’m talking about. My advice is start second place refunds ASAP – they’re easy to understand and are my main source of MB income. Good luck
+0Hi Paul, it’s a sustainable practice as long as you don’t get too greedy. Play the long game like bobster says and avoid lesser known footy leagues. It’s advisable to place mug bets along the way but many still get gubbed. Best of luck
+0Who said placing mug bets is advisable? Longest account I regularly use I don’t mug at all on. My wife does play 20p spins on the slots now and again though. Does a 100 x 20p spins disguise match betting better ? Maybe. Your also likely to lose a few quid but it’s kept that particular account going a good while.
+0Don’t worry about gubbings. Make hay while the sun shines. Then when the inevitable happens just move on and find another way to make money (there’s plenty, believe me!)
+0Been doing this since march last year and things have closed up a bit on the free bet front. I have been gubbed about 10 times with 2 accounts but still stuff available. My advise is to stick to the easy stuff to start and get used to it. Keep records of bets and qualifying loses and winnings , just to give you the comfort of seeing how much you are making. Watch the horses market and learn about when to place and lay bets, make sure that you can flick between sites quickly and comfortably. You will make mistakes but will learn from them. I have made about 10k so far and others have made much more.
Start off with the blog and then use the forum. Read through old posts and learn from them. Don’t run before you can walk as you will come unstuck!
Good luck+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
Cheers for all the feedback guys.
Was just interested to know how long you could keep the MB going if you kept your nose clean with a few bookies.
Enjoy
+0There are plenty of reload offers available once you’ve exhausted the new customer offers.
