My advice would be wait until the morning of the race, there won’t be a lot of money in the exchange yet (no one is betting on it yet), on the day there will be far better liquidity.
+0Yup just wait untril around 45-25 minutes before the off better market for you then.
+0cheers thanks…:)
+0If you get money back as a free bet if it loses anyway do you need to lay it off in the first place?
+0Ignore that last post!!
+0Hi all still trying to get my head around this bet, can some help me understand it… is it classed as a qualifying bet? as you only get your £25 back as a free bet. Yet the example shows a profit of i think £16.
cheers
+0If you check the post on the blog, it shows £20 cashback, this “cashback” is your £25 free bet, extracting 80% from this gives you £20. If your new to this, it may be worth knocking this down a couple of quid and putting the cashback as 18, gives you a little room to manoeuvre.
+0i gambled with this stuck a tenner on the favourite and hoping for the best. if he loses it only works out as a 3 quid mug but assuming i extract 7 quid from my tenner
+0I backed the winner too, but it seems to have worked out well for me (banker error in your favour!) as I placed my lay bet at Smarket (at 8.2) before one of the front runners was pulled out of the race.
It looks like Smarkets have therefore made some kind of adjustment to my lay bet that has resulted in me making £29 profit from the race, instead of the £16 or so I had been expecting – happy days! 😀
