lay before backing?

  • Has anybody ever tried laying before backing inplay as a means of getting better odds?

The other night, I lost out when trying to get a decent match inplay as the odds went up too fast on smarkets. So, I thought, if I layed before a game starts then backed inplay on a market such as yes bts as the odds go up after a few minutes, will that work?

Obviously, it has more risk as an early goal would ruin it but just wondering if anyone has any experience of doing this?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

can work out ok and i have done it on the bet 365 offers but if i was laying before the match it would be something that a goal can’t ruin like 0-0 correct score, that way if a goal is scored before you back, you win at the exchange and can start again.

Isn’t that a method bet fair traders use?

I guess it is really. I was just looking for a way to minimise the odds fluctuating inplay as I struggled to get a qualifying bet on the wales Portugal match as the odds changed very quickly
