making money from BOG?

  • Hi,

worked my way up from just doing just the bet365 offer to the full works (inc accas) over last few months, but was wondering if it was possible to make the most from BOG by betting on say all the favourites in the morning and then through out laying them off as the race starts. If the price drifts then lay as though back is the current start price for minimal loss but if their price has come in then underlay for a risk free bet?

just a thought this morning, wondered if this was possible and someone could tell me why it wouldnt work ahaha

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Well try it and see – with very small or imaginary stakes. And don’t get carried away with early success – it could take 100’s or 1000’s of data points to fully evaluate.

It won’t work if the prices drift more often than they come in. If the minimal losses all add up to more than the profits. It’s just a question of doing some analysis.

I definitely think there is something to be made from BOG. But it will be something like this which is more a gamble (betting on the price to shorten) than a guaranteed matched betting system.

You will also probably need to become an expert on rule 4 reductions to understand what price you actually are getting on the early price ….

There are systems mentioned on forums that appear to be profitable due to BOG, I have not tested them so can’t say if they work or not. You can sign up to data bases (I don’t know which is the best value for money), where I think you may be able to test out your ideas using historical data. If it hasn’t worked in the past then forget about it, if it has then either paper trade it or use small stakes, but as Foggy said you do need lots of bets to know if its likely to work.

The thing is though even using BOG for your profits you will eventually get gubbed at all the bookies, although your accounts will probably last longer than if you just do the offers.

‘lay as if the back is the current start price’…

and if it wins you take big hit. I think there is some truth in the prices shortening in general before the off. Bookies adjust there odds for more of profit margin as this is when they get most of the action. Isn’t that a known thing in the industry…
