Yeah yesterday had barley any 2nds sadly. Also early prices and liquity were pretty poor. I actually had a really good day in shop due to my underlaying tactic picking up a lot of winneres at both Ripon and at Newmarket (Boyles mb2 to fav) and getting Peticoat tails in the extra place.

Newbury looks another tough 2nds meet (cheers Setara) with the field sizes.

I am trying to teach my wife how to track the odds online – I can then ring her and theoretically she can talk thro’ the closest back/lays whilst I am in the shops. Started last night when using a free bet – that worked quite well but doing that was simple cause she only had to refresh some software I have. Using this methodology for trawling thro’ different races etc probably wont work – she is not that PC literate – hates it except for playing cards.

I guess going forwards I need to find an ‘accomplice’ who is well versed with this and we could swap roles i.e 1 at home with all the odds/screens etc and the other out on the road – I think that could work well

Yesterday was a killer in the heat getting round (was over greedy adding 3 boyle shops to my round for their offer) was wasted when I got home!. Cap today! and trade in all the free PP ‘capachinos’ for some water!

Sounds like a nice/interesting idea TP getting the misses on board. But I find myself with my phone I can flick on BFair etc when arriving outside a shop. And quickly browse through the latest target prices before going in- additionly a quick visit to the bog (not to be confused with best odds guarnteed!) can have a quick peruse! A few fake phone calls inside also and then have a quick look at latest prices

Yes Scabbadab – I get a bit paranoid in shop thinking they (the staff) are watching every move I make. Maybe I can take some furtive looks at my phone e.g an email/text without giving the game away.

That said the other prob I have to get over is at home I have two nice big screens and another lap top which makes it very easy for checking odds on the exchanges vs odds being offered by the bookies – doing this on mobile is so much harder and the mobile seems so much slower!

Anyway enough complaining from me – need to get out, claim one of my free bets, and start punting

I honestly wouldn’t worry. Most of the staff are more interested in their phones and couldn’t care less what you do. I always use my phone in the shop. As long as your not blatently showing them betfair and telling them your laying em off it’s fine.

Yeah agreed most of the staff (esp youngsters are busy gossiping etc) and I do sometimes if in a rush just get my phone out near the screens. I noticed that when I did this the other day in an empty shop- when I then dashed to the counter to place a few bets the manager(only staff at the time) had gone in his little side room and was watching the cameras( prob nosing on what i was doing) So discrestion dosnt hurt sometimes!

This thread has got me buzzing a little.

I might cream €200 off my monthly profit so far and put it in my pocket for when I pass a shop. Nearest shop is 20 mins away here but usually pass a shop or two when out and about.

It sounds like every visit could be worth about €20 ….

Their acca insurance used to be worth about tenner a pop, I haven’t checked the terms but if it’s similar to before (max €50 and no min odds) then def worth doing.

Then throw on five bets on MB2 races and that’s got to be another at least tenner in value. More if you hit a little bit of bog.

Then money back if Chelsea win? Boosts? Sounds like the golden age of sharbing is upon us!

Yep got to be worth a go whenever you can FOG. On top of the mb2s other offers it also means if hitting a few shops you can much increase your stakes on any good value bad ews/extra place races (my pp online is penny bets!)

And yeah regarding the football accas mb. Ive been lazy just focusing on the mb2s. Adding a.load of the footie accas to the mix each week can only rack up more profits

Not sure in maxstakes( think its 20 at pp) I do know its minimum 1/5 shots though
