Quick question Scabadab – is it ok using the 2 free bets at the same time in the shop or am I better off spreading them apart across say 2 different cashiers?

Yep Scabbadabbadooo! The buses are finally turning up!- hoping (greedily) for one more with Old Persian in the last. Glad to see you getting some nice returns also after just delving into this for the last fairly barren few days

I prefer to spread them around different cashiers and also different shops (they are valid in any PP shop) I also dont really like collecting more than one 2nd bet at any 1 given time. So if I have a few to collect in one shop I will collect from different cashiers/times of day.

A couple of Newbie questions if you don’t mind humouring me….

Say you’ve been to five branches of PP and put the same 5 bets on in each branch.
2 of these bets win, so you have 10 winning slips.. I presume you then go back to the five shops and collect two lots of winnings at each shop? Are you making sure that you take the 2 winning slips back to the same branch that you got them from?

Tempted to have a go for fun… I’d be going for your tactic too Scabbadab, it’s much more satisfying to make a profit when your horse wins!!

Old Persian – one I missed – oh well 2 in one day across a couple of shops will do me.

I will take your advice re collecting on the free bets – don’t want to kill the golden goose if it can be avoided

Mr C – Scabadab is the expert but yes I will ensure that I take the slips back to the shop which issued them.

Also as Scabadab says I will try not to alert any one cashier to what i am up to so will only cash one slip/one free bet with one cashier in each shop. Means may have to call back at the shop but probably worth it in the long run

Yeah can only be a good thing minimising attention- many of the shops prob know by now Im hunting for bonus races! but I try and mix it up when I can and no harm doing things like betting on other meets with close lays/extra place races/the odd football acca(5 team money back accas of course!) etc etc

And yes in smallish fields its got be worth underlaying a bit on short price shots- I kind of roughly underlay to the point where the 1st and 2nd will pay out something simalar and the times they miss the the top 2 is jus some not to bad colleteral damage!. Lovely in say a 6 horse horse race where maybe you have whacked 2 horse around 2-1 and have underlayed and just need 1 to win or come 2nd to profit- and superb when this kops a 1/2.

I do go back to each individul shop to collect(will mark a little letter on each slip to signify what street/area it was placed in) occasionly If I loads to collect in 1 shop and few/none in another-I may pick up 1 or 2 winners/vouchers in a different shop to spread it around a bit!. Also I might need some cashflow and not fancy traveling to the furThest shop on my round some days!

2 freebets per shop….one when I enter shop….one after my other bets are placed…..heard a pp broadcaster say today this offer is around since February….

Just the old 5 team 1 lets you down money back one. Not sure what the max stake is (not something ive ever bothered with much- prob should do!)

f me I must take more time writing out my posts. There is a lot of poor spelling/grammar/missing words in them!. It’s just I’m dashing about all day at 100mph then I carry on at that speed when putting a post together. Hopefully any relevant bits are comprehensible!
