MB'ing for my sister using a tablet and a separate 4g connection

  • The Cheltenham festival put paid to Sky, Coral and Paddy for me. I partly feel this was down to some heavy withdrawls but anyway …

I am going to start MBing with my sisters details and her permission etc.

I am planning to do it via a tablet on a 4g connection in my name. I live 100 plus miles away from my sister.

Will this flag up with bookies? Should I use a vpn to make sure?

    Any other hints and tips?

I was thinking that by just using a tablet I will miss out on getting the extra ‘first mobile bet / download our app’ offers that many bookies offer after opening an account via desktop.

Would I be better off with a netbook and a vpn and just get a cheap clone phone and sim for mobile / text offers?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Assuming you are using your sisters card details etc.
make sure your tablet has never been used for match betting and then only use for this.

you don’t need a vpn if you don’t live at the same address.

The only good mobile offer after joining is the bet365,but don’t be greedy as you’ll already have had the £200 bonus from them.

    Thanks kjillman

I’d be happy with the £200 offer but assume i’d have to load it as desktop.

Yes, have her card and scans of her licence and she will send me a scan of a utility bill every so often.

I will be using a different network and tablet to what I use for mine, but I didn’t know if the bookies could pick up the location given the ip address of the tablet and any network information, or am I worrying too much?

Also how much data would be sufficient for the sim, could I get away with 1gb?

Just a point for consideration regarding Bet365. Their mobile app runs a location check everytime it loads to ensure you are in a country that allows gambling. One time it asked for permission to search for wifi networks even though the wifi connection on my device was deactivated, to help with this. Paranoia maybe, but if this setting has crept in could it be used to link you to other accounts?

    Thanks Blue.

Are apps essential or could I just use the web page?
