Multinational bank that provides support for online gambling

  • Hi, so after reading your blog I’ve decided to give it a go.
But I’m facing a bit of a problem.

I checked the terms and conditions of the welcome offer at betsafe and it is said that it doesn’t apply if you deposit money from moneybookers. So I guess this may be the case of most sites and I’m limited to using my visa debit card or bank transactions to get these offers.

The problem is when I tried to deposit money through my visa, the bank does not approve the transaction. I tried Smarkets, betsafe & bet365.
And when I contacted the bank they said that it may be rejected because they don’t provide service and approve transactions with online gambling.

So currently I’m in a bit of a situation and I guess this may apply to most of the local banks.
So I’m thinking about starting a new account and a debit card with a multinational/ foreign bank.
    Like HSBC or Standard Chartered.
Do you know whether one of these banks support online gambling?? And whether I can make deposits and withdraw money hassle-free?
I’m from Sri Lanka by the way.

    Awaiting your response. Thanks!

Being in Sri Lanka I imagine you’d be restricted from doing a lot of the offers anyway. Check the relevant T&Cs but often only for residents of UK/ROI.
