Price boosts and BTTS

  • I’m new to MB. Followedthis blog for a while before taking the plunge. 4 weeks on and despite a couple of silly errors I’m up a couple quid. Now looking at something a bit more challenging.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

As I was saying…. Corals have a price boost tonight. Bournemouth to win and BTTS at 6/1 (7.00). I’ve tried to work my way round this with laying and dutching but the odds against BTTS are too low. Is there some sort of formula for calculating this or is it better to risk a mug punt below the maximum £20 stake?

The easiest way to calculate if the price boost of match results and BTTS is profitable is to check the BF market – “Match Results and Both Teams to Score”. At the moment, the odds aren’t competitive, but you can check before the match.

On this occasion, I doubt that the boost to 7.00 is value (or very marginal). If you go by correct scores, you can only lay the equivalent at roughly 7.17.
