S Markets

  • So I have been Matched Betting since May and always used Betfair and have gotten very used to it! I think it was back August time? can’t really remember..but Matt started to use S Markets on his blog but I decided to stick it out with Betfair as I was comfortable with sticking to what I know. However, as my knowledge of matched betting has increased I now feel more comfortable opening an S Markets account alongside my Betfair as I think it will be handy to have both due to the 2% commission, and therefore laying off any popular bets such as premiership games I suspect the odds between S Markets & Betfair will be fairly similar.

Could anyone let me know how you go about the £10 bonus you get from S Markets? It says any loss will be refunded up to £10, so I therefore just have to back and lay and hope the bet wins in at the bookies? and therefore loses at S Markets?

    Cheers for the help!

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

FOR(572.92%) AGAINST(21.91%) This was the 15:30 Lingfield literally impossible to lay on S Markets where as Betfair was fine..i can now see the issues!

    Ryan,

I’ll give you that! The 15:30 at Lingfield was a disgrace today, I lost £50 due to not being able to get a lay on Smarkets, every other race today however was fine.

I assumed there was a problem somewhere, actually with my own Internet until I saw your post. Don’t let one race put you off though. There are problems now and again but if you have betfair as a backup you’ll have the best of both worlds.

Just a disclaimer: I don’t work for Smarkets by the way!

Yeah it was shocking wasn’t it I thought my Internet had gone down or something! You lost £50!? wow you didn’t put your back bet on first did you ouch.
To be honest im just going to always have Smarkets and Betfair open at the same time and use both, definitely agree with you!

I use both smarkets and betfair together. Could just use smarkets as they dont offer all the markets that betfair do. However for footy lays they are pretty good and i always use them for that. Betfair app is a nicer platform but if the odds are the same which they nearly always are then i use smarkets

Looks as though the name of the other exchange which is much better never get’s published!
I started with Smarkets then quickly switched to the other exchange as found it had better markets you can take sp which for me is important & cash out if you make a mistake.

Lealdo has not been back to explain his betfair commission.
Its not right that people post misleading information.

I only use SMarkets – I find them brilliant. If you live in London, they also do random events, such as free food and drink at their office for customers.

I use Smarkets for most football and horse racing bets – liquidity is usually fine and charges lower commission. I only use Betfair if the market I want is not offered by Smarkets
