New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Usually both bookie and exchange will void bets for non-runners. So no win and no loss.
For Antepost betting for Cheltenham there are bookies running the No Run, No Bet offer. In this case the bookie will void your bet and the exchange bet will be a win. Look for bookies who explicitly state this offer or something similar and it will only be for antepost betting and I have only ever seen it for the cheltenham races.
+0not quite. both the bookie and the exchange will refund you, so no win no loss.
If you bet on a horse ante-post, the bookie won’t refund you, but the exchange will count it as a loser (so you win the lay). That’s why there are all these offers for “non-runner, no bet” at Cheltenham.
+0blimey, nearly word for word! lol
+0The only time you really stand to gain out of these scenarios is where a horse does start the race but immediately loses all chance of winning, for example by throwing the jockey off as it leaves the stalls, or by refusing to start with the rest in jumps races.
In those situations some bookies (but not all – looking at you here Will Hills!!) will refund your stake as a free bet, whilst your exchange lay will be settled in your favour. Sky and Paddy are particularly good for this, although even their generosity might be tested if if was a big favourite they had taken a tonne of money for 😉
+0Coral don’t refund FB’s for NR. use it or lose it.
