Transfer balance without withdrawing – best method

  • Hi all,
My early days of matched betting are going well, thanks to the you all for the help on this site. Unfortunately, though I’ve run into my first problem; an unexpected build-up of cash in my Coral balance. For obvious reasons, I’d like to transfer this sum from coral to smarkets, but am hesitant to withdraw a large sum to avoid/delay any potential gubbings.
Bearing in mind I have the funds to top up my smarkets account in the meantime, what would you suggest my best method? My mind is telling me to sacrifice a 10er or so and dump a large sum on a high odds bet with (relatively) low QL – but would a large sum bet draw more attention to my account, hence I’d be better off betting smaller amounts more frequently on high odds bets?
I appreciate a lot of this is the golden question (how do I stop myself from getting gubbed!?) but any advice is appreciated!

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You cannot guarantee that a bet at high odds will lose. If we could, there would be no such thing as matched betting and we would all simply lay the loser and be millionaires! So if you use this strategy and the bet wins you will be far worse off than you started, as much more money will land in the bookie than if you bet at smaller odds.

Having said that, it may be wise to do some mug bets to keep them happy and *hope* they lose. But then again, no-one knows what bookies think and why they gub people.

Personally, I don’t really see anything wrong with withdrawing, surely a mug would want to spend their winnings? Just leave enough in there for the next offer.
