unibet be careful!! account frozen/suspended
-
I have today attempted to login into my unibet account which I do not use very often to find that my account has been frozen and my funds frozen.
Basically they do not have to explain why and are keeping my £££’s
Just a heads up to everyone else. Keep your funds low. These people in the t and c’s can freeze your account at any time.+2May 3, 2016 at 8:11 pm

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

As per the other thread….I highly doubt they can just keep funds without even giving you an explanation. Unibet is a legitimate bookie not like the small guys from the Cheltenham festival. I suspect, they have just locked your account for some reason and if you go on live chat they will sort it…they can’t just keep all your money for no reason. Who would ever bet if the bookies could just take your money without an explanation, they’d just go around closing a few accounts with no reason to boost profits…seeing as they don’t need to explain what they have done…
+1Happened to me as well a month ago with £130 in.
Live chat useless, regulator didn’t want to know either which is typical.
Mainly used it for arbs and their bet-up service which was easy to win on as you just follow wh’s in-play odds.
+1Yes they do this fairly often. They tried it with me. The way to get your cash back is to post negative reviews of them on every review site. They ignored all my emails and calls but within half an hour of me posting negative reviews they got in touch and I had my money back from them within 20 to 30 minutes.
+7Fairly often? Why would anyone in their right mind bet with Unibet then? If they can just take your money with no legitimate reason or tell you…..seems very odd to me.
+0very worrying facts
+0Who in their right mind would bet with them? Well, you do…. oh.
+0Yes, because I was unaware that they randomly close accounts and take money for no reason, hence I bet with them. I was referring to people who are aware that they did this why would they bet with them, pretty clear what I said….Oh. At it again I see, no surprise.
+0When they did it to me I Googled them and got in touch with other people they’d done this to. They have a clause in their t & cs that allows them to just freeze your account and keep all your money, even your deposits. Obviously people aren’t aware of it until it happens to them.
+2Same true of Stan James then, given they are the same company?
Freezing winnings from bets they deem to be dodgy is one thing… freezing deposits is altogether different.
If this is true then I will not be putting anymore money the way of any Unibet Group bookie in future, not that I spend much with them now anyway given the lack of offers
+0Here was a list of their reasons.
Worrying thing is they can do this and do not need to give an explanation.
I am now don’t with the matched betting but just giving you guys a heads up.Dear Ian,
Thank you for contacting Unibet support regarding your account being closed.
Ian unfortunately Unibet has taken the decision to close your account permanently.
Although the list is long the companys’ reason for doing so are contained within them.
Best regards,
Steve

+0Crooks.
+0Send them some shit in the post.
+1What were u betting on and what kind of stakes were you throwing around?
+0Picnic
A few things re this disturbing article:
1) I would take them to the small claims court in the expectation they would find in your favour and
2) MATT I notice your site still carries advertising for Unibet, could you please get this removed given the issue as highlighted by Picnic
Finally I will now close my Unibet account since it’s clear they cannot be trusted
+1I’m with tennispunter here, there’s nothing in those T+Cs saying they can just take your money. every point is about withholding funds IF they suspect wrongdoing so it is up to them to prove that you have broken the rules. go to IBAS etc or even citizens advice and last resort take them to court. I would also write to your MP about it, there is lots of legislation talk at the moment (admittedly about FBOTs but still)
