This was looking good until i found out my max stake is £19.47!!!

A total underlay gives me a risk free shot at £12.61 at current odds

    Hope both teams win!

You have to lay them separately. BUT only if the first team wins.

Ah I see. Would I use an acca calc then to workout the lays ?

On a double like this it’s easy. Say you’ve put £20 on the double, you then lay £20.41 (£20 / 0.98) on the first result. If that loses you do nothing else and you’ve lost no money. If it wins you then have to do the following calculation to determine how much to lay on the second result. ((£20 + liability from first result) / 0.98). This will give you profit if it wins or break even if doesn’t.

You should of course do these calculations first based on the current lay odds to see if there’s any value in it. Remember the odds for the second game could well change so be sure it’s worth doing even with a small shift in odds.

yes, the first lay is pretty simple though if you are underlaying.

stake / 0.98 gives your first match underlay

    my stake was 19.47 so

    19.47 / 0.98 = 19.87 to lay on newcastle

Using that logic you can create a simply calculator in Excel or Google Sheets to do the sums for you too, save on the sums of your in a rush 😉

Don’t forget to adjust the “0.98” to be “0.95” if you are using Betfair to lay

I used this in conjunction with my 20 quid welcome risk-free bet. I’m basically over-layed on the first leg (taking into consideration getting the 20 back if it loses) 😀

Good call! Just did the same. £13 or £18 profit. Job’s a good ‘un!

Can someone help me, how do you figure out your max stake as it doesn’t say for me?
