My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

It seems a rather strange cap for everyone to have.

I’m not factoring the refund into it really. If the bet wins I get the profit of the regular enhanced double. If it doesn’t I get the added bonus of the refund.

I suppose you could underlay on the Man City game, if it gets that far, to guarantee £15 profit either way, but as there’s only a couple of quid in it I’m keeping it simple.

Would it work to wait to lay Newcastle in play? So if they are ahead and look like winning, your liability would be less and so you’d need to lay less for the Man City game, thus increasing your profit if both Newcastle and Man City end up winning? But if Newcastle don’t go on to win you still break even?

No Daniel this only works because the current lay odds are below the bookies odds of 5. Granted if you wait and Newcastle score you would then be able to lay them and have a much lower liability resulting in an overall greater profit. However, if Sunderland take the lead the Lay odds on Newcastle would shoot up and then you’d need to lay them to cover your original stake but this would result in a massive liability that wouldn’t be able to be recouped even on the City game and you would be at a loss no matter what.
    Basically, keep it simple.
