Using PayPal with bookmakers – a question regarding fees…
-
Hello,
When depositing/withdrawing with PayPal to a bookmaker, I understand that it will say on-site whether or not any fees are included for that method.
But when withdrawing from the bookmaker back to PayPal, does PayPal charge a fee for money incoming from the gambling websites? I couldn’t find a definite answer.
I know they charge around 3% for money received from Goods and Services, so if this includes bookmakers, that would wipe out a fair bit of profit if using PayPal with matched-betting.Can anyone confirm this?
Any help is much appreciated.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

PayPal don’t charge you anything (in my experience).
+0I’ve only ever been charged by betfair to deposit by paypal.
never on the withdraw side of things.+0The Betfair charge for depositing is very annoying..
+0Thanks ^
Decided to test it last-night to make sure by depositing £10 to Coral (though they stopped allowing bets ages ago) and withdrawing it straight away.
It came in a few minutes ago, with no fees deducted by PayPal.
Fingers crossed it works like that for all of the bookmakers.+0When you deposit via PayPal what info does the receiver get? I.e. do they see the email linked to your PayPal account or just your PayPal username?
I want to open a B365 account in my girlfriend’s name and was just going to credit it using my PayPal as I never used my PayPal on my original B365 account so they couldn’t link it this way. However they might notice the PayPal account is registered to the same email as my original B365 account.
