New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The fred offer I posted had no replies and an EV of £96!
Deathstar- u sure it means sites like PA have been seen off? I took is as ppl going straight to them rather than here, activity on oddsmonkey suggests the paid services are alive and well
+0I’m banned pretty much everywhere that matters now so not much I can do anymore in terms of offers, not that there are many around anyway this season. Was big on accas last season but they’ve all been cut to shreds now.
Had a bit of a dabble with e/w arbing, but just took up way too much time sitting around watching odds, and needing to be available for the start of races. And that seems to be the main thing people are left doing these days.
MB certainly paid off for the year or so I did from May 2016 to about now, but think it’s now come to an end for me.
+0@betman, I just meant that I think most people signing up to PA etc have done the sign ups and easy offers, got gubbed and because they were pretty much spoon-fed they can’t think outside the box (or plain lazy) and have moved on. And people that are starting out now are not going to make anywhere near what we all could just a couple of years ago, so there is less and less people signing up now anyway. When I started Paddy had a £250 sign up, 365 had £200 (its gone now apparently) and betfair had £200 as well. so £730ish for very little effort. Compare that to todays offerings and the idea of matched betting just isn’t as appealing.
There’s still good money to be made, but its more about arbing and dutching once you’ve been gubbed, which takes more time and effort. I doubt the mumsnet crowd have the time or inclination. (no offence to mumsnet).oh, and I didn’t even seen your betfred offer (sorry!) I don’t even look in the new offers thread anymore simply because I haven’t got any ungubbed accounts left. I imagine that’s true of a lot of people here, certainly the regular posters who have been here for a while.
+0I dont really look in the new offers section anymore either because most of it is backing and laying bets for a potential £5 profit here and there which, at my stage of matched betting is just a waste of time. I assume you are referring to your virtual darts thread betman, I dont think many are in to things you cant lay off.
For me, time is ticking. The offers arent so big anymore and accounts are being restricted so if I am going to continue to make money then I’m only interested in the potentially big pay offs.
+0I get you, and fully agree on the spoon fed sentiment. I suspect they still get a decent chunk of people doing signups then drifting off… probably loads unlimited accounts we could use! Haha
You see the share on here that want purely spoon fed, then often claim to have made silly amounts when they can’t comprehend the basics before vanishing.
I’ve been here just over a yr now and reckon all the names who contribute slightly more advanced stuff have been here longer than me
+0Do people reckon the offers will come back when they think matched betting is not as mainstream? This sounds silly but I don’t post on here anymore I do read it tho. Because I blame sites like this killing it(starting to sound like Patrick) I only started in 2014. At least with oddsmonkey and PA you have to pay that puts ALOT of people off. Sites like this killed it to quote matchdem FACT still be money tho World Cup next summer etc. But at soon as the extra places and itv offers go that’s it…
+0Betfred barred me and closed my account before I even heard of matched betting! That account was worth £12 to me in total. I was testing a different strategy on the money back second races, i.e. just value betting it, not matched betting. And since I was only experimenting I was only going small stakes. Ridiculous. Frustrating. I would have loved that darts offer and see so much about their boosts but it was a door closed to me from the get go!
Agree with all that’s said on the thread here about lack of offers and accounts. Also I think I am and some ppl are getting more protective of the offers/strategies that are now working for us. Seeing how quickly stuff like ew edge, accas and even money back second races disappeared after everyone started talking about them. So I have a few things going that I don’t really talk about. No gold mine. Just little offers to tick me over.
Still decent money to be made. Even with gubbed and restricted accounts. I aim to wager about €100 per day which even with restricted to a maybe €5 stakes is only 20 bets. So long as the roi is 10% to 20% then it’s €10 to €20 profit per day. So €300 to €600 per month which matches about what I am seeing.
And a bit like betman was getting at about the virtual darts. Lots of smaller bets is more work but reduces the variance. So I don’t hardly bother laying anything any more.

Without EW arbing I’d consider dropping matched betting altogether, so thanks to all contributors in that respect.
Although it can be satisfying taking value, i find it more depressing how outrageously easy the bookies have it. Do UK bookies even have to offer bonuses to compete with one another when gambling has (somehow) become such a part of UK culture? Surely the world cup will present opportunities, but I’ll probably have only a handful of accounts by then…
+0Incidentally, does anyone remember how long Coral have run the ‘green tick’ option for? Was it introduced after beesty’s ew arbing thread begun?
+0Nah Enigma. They have had green tick odds since at least Feb 2016 (probably a lot longer). At least 4 months before the beesty thread.
+0I do think some bookies think they have seen off the threat though.
I was gubbed by coral and Hills during the height of the “PA panic” but have been reinstated by corals and Hills sent me a free bet completely out of the blue last week. I’m still limited to winning about £250. I put that down to continuing to bet even though they took their offers away, and ironically I haven’t bothered with their offers since I’ve got them back.sadly 365 fred lads betway etc restricted me severly first then gubbed me, so I couldn’t try and bet my way out of gubbings with them even if it was possible.
+0The fact that there have been no posts to the new offers thread for more than 3 days says it all.
Has matchedem finally been banned from here. His fantasy profits became very tedious.
Prehaps Patrick has gone into fortune telling as he was very much correct in how he called the current situation,+0Hi all,Like many of you I have been gubbed my some bookies.I still have Coral which is my main ‘staple’ earner lately as the wife and I both have accounts ? I do spend most of my time lately arbing the USA gee gee’s in the evenings.I am gubbed from offers with Paddy but,not stake restricted yet luckily enough,I am laying on BF as well yes,And on 2% commission at the moment through the oddsmonkey link it’s so far so good!
