Wigan v Gillingham-Price Boost on SkyBet

  • Just placed £25 on Wigan v Gillingham to finish 2-1 (currently 0-1) at 11.00 and laid it off at Betfair at 8.8. £4.85 profit either way….

    Cheers. Had a nightmare today (of sorts). Placed a few arbs with Hills to get rid of some cash into the Exchange this morning. Sunny Legend won at 12/1 (I arbed it at 10’s), Invade won at 14/1 (got it at 12/1) and Yisty at 14/1 (9/1 for me!). Lots of money into Hills, out of the Exchange and bloody BOG as well! Trying my best to lose money but I just keep bloody backing long priced winners!!!

    Just had an absolute result on this game, mainly due to my own total incompetence!

    After seeing this thread I thought I would keep an eye on Sky’s price boosts in play as they often glean wee arb opportunities, e.g exactly what Dockie backed.

    Anyway, when it was 2-2, I got £50 on 3-2 at odds of 6.0 and went off to merrily lay on Betfair (trading at 5.0) when I realised that I didn’t have enough funds in there to cover the liability! Nightmare I thought, and in my panic the lay odds moved to 5.1

    I layed for my entire balance, which basically meant that I staked £43 on the lay, for a liability of around £176. I figured that by the time I deposited to top it up the odds would have moved too much, plus I hoped that Wigan would go the whole hog and come back to win from 0-2 down!

    Anyway, Wigan scoring in the 96th minute has just netted me a VERY fortunate £75 profit rather than the £10 loss I was expecting 😀 😀 😀

    @Dockie
    – I owe you a beer mate, as were it not for this thread I would never have looked at this game tonight!

    I am just praying that this, on top of lobbing my Sky Club £5 on a long shot that came in yesterday, does not mean I get the dreaded email!

    Nice one! Has anyone ever been restricted by Sky? Seems extremely rare…

    And while you lads are all celebrating your good luck have a bit of sympathy for this poor soul who had Russia under 18s to win as part of a acca @ 1.02 and they somehow managed not to win.

    @MarkCorrigan – let’s hope I’m not the first then! haha

    Jeeeees, that sucks @Pickle! I don’t think I have ever heard of a 1.02 shot not winning!! Were they 1.02 to win pre match?

    @dockie and @jilman a bit too…

    Dockie I was preaching about this lay tipster before to you. https://twitter.com/GetYourShitOut

    He had 3 out of 4 lays winning today. Use a martingale system and he’ll shift the money for you no bother. Only bother is that he doesn’t post everyday which is slowly me down, need to move close to a grand out of an account that’s on thin ice.

    Yep, need to shift some money out of Hills. I’ve looked at him before and as you say he doesn’t tweet everyday.

    Dockie, do not back With hindsight tomorrow in the Wolverhampton 4.45 unless you underlay of course.

    Tipper I follow:
    “Two recent course and distance wins in Class 5 and 6 show this 8 year old is at his best. This is a very weak race with the next best form being Wildomar’s second in a Class 6. Luke Morris on board again and a hat trick looks likely”
