Bet365 2up

  • Hi, I just wondered how everyone was getting on with the Bet365 2up offer.

I’ve done it a few times now and I’m frequently having my team go two goals ahead. However, when they do, the back odds are then so small that it’s not been worth cashing out then and I’ve left it for the other team to pull back first. I’ve not had this 2nd part happen for me yet after several attempts.

I’m wondering how other people on the forum are doing with this, what their success rate is, how they find the matches, and just the general experience of this offer.

I’ve read elsewhere that this can be a good money maker, and as I mostly do football offers, I’d like to find out how true that is and hopefully get the right method down for starting to make a profit from this.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Thanks scabbadab. Yes indeed, I verified with bedfred customer service (in shop assistants were completely useless).

No worries Adio. I would certainly be boshing into that offer if I had a few betfreds near me. I myself would be looking to tuck into any team round about evens home or away that is a pretty close lay. As I’m thinking the big odds on shots won’t let to many 2+ slip away. But if there’s a tightbet/lay. Tuck in!

Sporting vs Arsenal tomorrow. Arsenal currently at 2.1/2.1

Literally the BEST offer going this.

No other offer comes anywhere close.

If Napoli went 2up in first half – it could have been up there with one of the best nights of matchbetting ever!

Can’t grumble at Preston, Porto & Derby though!

Gutted I didn’t have Barca or Forest – had Inter & Bolton instead.

Oh and I don’t advise getting on games the day before (especially NON-british teams) as the liquidity isn’t always great and your bet could stand out massively.

Marv, so I assume you cash out at 2-1? If so, what percentage of your stake?

I’m assuming you’re on about Porto?

I stupidly cashed out 50% at 2-0 thinking Moscow wouldn’t get a goal back and within a minute or so of cashing 50% they scored to make it 2-1 so I cashed the remaining.

My strategy is normally to cash at 1.2 or above – wish I kept to my strategy with Porto!!!

Yes, Porto. I cashed out at 2-1 on that game, but only around 40% of my stake. Haven’t had a team 2-2 come back in the last 30 or so matches. Overall, I think I tried this with 103 games since August; got 2-2 in 5 of those. Do you only pick matches with the lowest qualifying loss? Or do you also look at team stats (how many goals they scored / conceded recently, etc)?

I normally like to back the teams with the bigger odds (less chance of 2UP but miles more profit to be made).

I try and get on as many games as I can (as much as my bank will allow!) and I don’t take matches less than 98%. I find the QL is too much.

Sometimes I’ll take a larger QL because the odds are that big…..Lyon away to Man City for example and last week Levante away to Real Madrid.

But normally my strategy is 98% matches only and then cash out at 1.2 or above.

It can also depend on the team etc. I don’t always stick to my strategy (Porto last night for example – still annoyed now!)

Would this offer work if you backed both teams. Team A with Bet365 and Team B with PP. Its annoying when you back a team and the other side goes 2up. I looked today and I could of backed and layed both teams for QL of £1.56.. If Team A had gone 2up. I could cash out for a profit and Team B back odds would drift so could make an arb on Team B.

Yeah mate, as long as it’s Champions League games, Premier league or La Liga.

PP don’t offer 2UP on all games. Bet365 offer 2UP on all the major leagues so be careful.

PP’s prices are always pretty grim. So the QL with Paddy will always be higher than Bet365

As Marv says but, if team A have gone 2up, you won’t be able to make an arb on team B, unless it’s an amazing game and they go on to be 2up in the match too. (ie team A go 2-0 up then team B be score 4 to make it 2-4)

I think backing team A and holding that back as a ‘sh*t or bust’ is more profitable and EV+ in the long term than laying it off straight away. You back value and hold for a 2-0 scoreline, if it comes, get a very cheap lay on the winning team and a potentially much bigger win should a comeback occur. If not, onto the next.
Few I’m looking at for Saturday:

    Fulham/Bournemouth
    Leicester/West Ham
    Norwich
    Hannover

    Speculative:
    Stuttgart
    Nottm Forest

Yeah, not laying is what other posters suggest too. But I’m not convinced. I think it strongly depends on being able to pick good matches / teams to be profitable in this way.

In the last 34 matches I bet on, I haven’t had a team come back from 2 down, and only several teams went 2up. So I’d have pretty significant losses if I didn’t lay.

Week 1 of the PL season there was an 80% strike rate on 2up. So that week you would of made a tidy sum and of course if you backed the right team.

I think it’s like most strategies whether to lay or not and you could hit a run of losing bets and find yourselves hundreds of pounds down. It depends on the individual and your cash flow.

I agree with Adio, i prefer to lay as well. And hope to hit a 2-1 or 2-2 scoreline, so far i’ve only got a 14% strike rate.

If you’re confident managing a live position in a game you’re actually watching it’s much more indicative of what to let run and what to lose. Obviously not everyone has the time to watch every game they’re involved in though. Game selection definitely helps; just because the odds at the books/exchange are tight, doesn’t mean it’s worth getting involved. A quick bit of research into relevant stats or simply looking at other prices like BTTS or O/U markets can steer you in the right direction. Once you’ve eliminated other unsuitable games at a glance there’s generally not much work to do. Games where the home side have shown a tendency to concede on their own turf tend to give you a decent run for your money.
